Hello "Turtle". Been scrolling through the site a bit this morning, reading everything from X pricing to number of Mavericks sold, etc. I'm in Maryland, too and am wondering if you have received your Maverick, if you had an issues with the X plan, and do you know the transportation trail that goes from Mexico to Baltimore? Mine was built on 2/27, supposedly shipped on 2/28 and "expected" delivery at the end of the month. Thanks!
Hello fellow Maryland-er. No i have not received my Maverick. I have a 3/28 build week. My dealer continues (last we chatted) that he will take my “X” plan but you never know until you get to the finance office. There are a few forums on tracking the Maverick. The vlast Ford i purchased (9/21) was rail to Baltimore and hauler from there but if I remember correctly my 2018 was rail to Richmond and hauler too Lexington Park. I bet you are getting excited. Your dealer should be able to provide transport data. Have you tried your Ford Pass App to see if it answers up at any point.

One interesting tidbit from last night's YouTube live stream with @fordvideoguy was the number of Mavericks Ford intends to produce this month. Tim said it is 5,400 units, which is down from February and also down from a previously stated goal of 6,000.

As Tim noted in the video, if you assume roughly the same production level for the six months remaining in MY22, Ford will produce another 30,000-32,000 Mavericks before switching over to MY23 production.

Bottom line for guys like me who ordered in January: not optimistic about receiving a truck this year. Granted, none of us know exactly how many orders Ford has, but I have to believe the number was FAR in excess of 45,000-50,000, which looks like the total number of MY22 Mavericks Ford will produce.
@pa-outdoorsman Important clarification - these numbers are not for MARCH Production, but rather numbers for MARCH allocation scheduling for MAY production. I went back and re-watched the video and the relevant clip is here.

well if that ends up being the case then Ford needs to alert any person putting in an August '22 order that they won't be getting their vehicle until likely 2024, most people aren't going to be knowingly signing up to anticipate a vehicle 1.5+ years in the future. Most people who ordered last year were anticipating that they'd have their trucks by April or May for sure - in that Ford didn't put out any warning that they were in for a long wait buyers kept putting in orders not knowing that they were entering a black hole of a wait....
When I put in my August 2021 order I was told by the dealer to expect a Nov or Dec delivery lol. Hybrids didn't even start being built until December and I had 100,000 reservations ahead of me. I assumed they would build 100,000 in a month like they did with the F-150. Mine and the dealer's assumptions were a little off. And we all know what happens when we ass-u-me.

Yeah, OK. But it doesn't really make any difference to the end result. That's about how many Mavericks Ford has been making, more or less, each month since all this started. So, the totals for the model year that we've been discussing in this thread won't change. You're still looking at roughly 60,000 Mavericks produced for MY22.

The brand manager doesn't know how many orders there are, he's just guessing like the rest of us...... that's a corporate level secret, if we knew that number, we could quickly do the math and calculate how many mavericks WONT get built.
Uh, the "brand manager" is the person at Ford corporate in charge of the Maverick line. So, if he doesn't know how many Maverick orders there are, we are in even worse trouble than I feared.

At that rate, I doubt they would be able to get all of the MY22 orders done in MY23, my guess is they had over 100k orders as the Bronco had about 125k orders in 2021 and it's a much more expensive vehicle.
They had 100,000 orders by the end of last August. There are lots of article about it. My guess, they had at LEAST 100,000 more since then. Worst case scenario...25,000 backed put and canceled.

How is Ford going to finish making 175,000 Mavericks before the Fall? They aren't. What's the total number? Have they hit HALF that yet.

I'm not sure how much they will go into September, I was using through August as a safe bet. I know that they will start producing in October, so more than likely they will have 22MY production in September and possibly all the way through September.
This has been my biggest fear....production through September for a 2022. With how slow shipping has been, best case scenario, some won't get their Maverick until December, and some won't get a 2022 until 2023. If I wasn't getting a 2022 Maverick by August, let alone being produced by then, I'd rather just get rolled over to a 2023.

Also, my June 10th order still hasn't been scheduled yet.

False. They had 100k RESERVATIONS at the end of August.

I don't disagree with you there; even if they sell/deliver (to the end-customer) ~5k per month for March through October (assuming MY22 production goes all the way to the end of September), that's only an additional 40k added to the already sold (as of end of Feb) 23.8k, for a grand total of ~64k for all of MY22.

He's been told this dozens of times but it just won't sink in. We are either dealing with a troll or someone who probably shouldn't be allowed to drive a vehicle on public roads.

Your “biggest fear” is when you will get a maverick?

There are AWD Hybrid Escapes - i have one.
Yes, of course. My son has one.

I was referring to gas only drive options. All EB 2.0 engines in Escapes and Bronco Sports are AWD. There is no EB 2.0 FWD option on those, but there is on the Maverick, although the vast majority of EB 2.0 engines sold are on AWD Mavericks.

That was my point.

I think the number being thrown around is 80-100,000 RESERVATIONS not orders. Because people reserved but didn't convert to an order. We have 900 reservations but 500 orders.
I intended to ORDER a Maverick back in June, 21. How do I know if I ordered one or simply reserved one?

Thanks for getting back to me. The Ford Pass app doesn't do anything yet. I did check rail information because I do have a railcar number that my salesperson provided at my request after I had the ship date. Looks like it arrived in Nogales AZ on March 6th with no activity since.

I will be glad to get back with you once it has been delivered and let you know how our pricing turned out as well as our experience at the dealership. Best of luck to you!

To get the 2023 model in a reasonable amount of time, you would have to find the exact day dealerships will begin taking orders, find the earliest opening dealership in your entire state, go there and camp out like people do on black friday, and SPRINT to the nearest salesman once the doors open and hand him your build sheet and the $500 deposit.
