Geometric compression ratios are pretty meaningless in engines with boost or modified intake volume, as in Atkinson engines. @Wire4money is spot-on.
THe Prius engine is an Atkinson Cycle engine as well. The valve timing and the actualization is variable. Ford licensed this tech from Toyota...theirs works identically...and I am a former (retired) toyota factory hybrid tech. They will see 13:1, not all the time...but they will.

My point is that the factory recommends a specific lubricant. You can use whatever you want. You can also void their warranty. As GM owners who are dropping lifters and toasting motors how it goes for them on warranty when the lube comes back as other than spec. Have a Day!

My understanding comes from the tribological side of it, but as I understand it acid in oil travels more in pockets rather than being an actual solution. This is why the AN is used more prevalently than TAN, since it is more representative for machine surfaces.

I am no chemist though.
In genchem you are taught acidity is a function of protons (H+) density such that pH =-logH+ Concentration. Later you learn about other kinds of acids like Lewis bases which are actually e- pair donors (in aqueous solutions they would absorb H+) sometimes they are referred to as Brønsted–Lowry bases

don’t worry it just means that everything you learned from n chemistry is wrong, and stays that way beyond Quantum Chemistry and then you get close enough to the truth to realize the difference between physics, chemistry biology and baking is just scale.

It’s called Wittgenstein's ladder

6.54

“My propositions serve as elucidations in the following way: anyone who understands me eventually recognizes them as nonsensical, when he has used them—as steps—to climb beyond them. (He must, so to speak, throw away the ladder after he has climbed up it.)

He must transcend these propositions, and then he will see the world aright.”

With "Theoretically, so long as the TBN is over 0, TAN is 0. But that’s only in an ideal world (which we ain’t in)" as your understanding of AN/BN, I concede that you will never listen to me (your understanding is incorrect when it comes to oil analysis). So you win, take joy in whatever you want. It's not like I teach oil analysis for a living....

Have I not consistently stated that I have been simplifying things, implying such propositions as the ideal gas law are a good place to start understanding?
But Yeah /plonk

This is easy....Amsoil or Royal Purple 0w20 for they hybrid and be happy....about 40 bucks. Amsoil will also warranty your engine from failure due to oil

Use whatever you want, but don’t go cheap on the filter. Mobil 1 followed by K&N, and no Fram.

Ford actually produces very good filters.

So long as you are keeping consistent weight suitable for your temperature and usage, oil change should be at factory intervals just to maintain your warranty. Make certain your filter meets or exceeds partial filtration and flow standards. Personally I only use non detergent synthetics after the warranty periods and dual/ stage filters afterwards. Also I check oil levels and color every 1k miles to see if there are changes in usage. But then I keep all my old plugs to watch for wear changes historically.
