Hot pepper red not even close to my expectations!

I talked to my salesman today because I am kicking around about adding CP360 to my XLT and possibly kicking around the idea of moving up to a Ranger since my Maverick is about in Ranger price anyway. So he was telling me he doesn't know if I can make a change since the order banks are closed, he said he would have to talk to the manager and I might have to wait and redo my order for MY23 to change. So that would bring me to my next point and this is the first time I have seen this hot pepper red in person on this Ranger, and all I can say is OH HELLL NO! I was expecting more red then burnt orange, expectations totally destroyed! So disappointed I can't get a red Maverick. So I am hoping I can still make color change at least.

In this picture, it looks close to the University of Texas-Austin castrated steer orange.

I changed colors twice before the production was assigned. Original Hot Pepper... to Velocity Blue ... then to "no color " Cactus Gray. Cactus Gray Mav being built on March 28.

Hot pepper red is orange and cyber orange is yellow. Rapid red is metallic red.

Fully agree with you on this one.

I started out alto blue but found out it was almost black so switched to area 51 but I like yellow vehicles so finally settled on cyber orange.

Yep. Ford should have called it burnt orange and called Cyber Orange, School Bus Yellow.

Well everything is all good, spent 3hrs at my dealer and changed the Maverick to Carbinized gray and then talked about the Ranger, drove a 2020 and put in a new order for the Ranger sport, red FX4, 7500lbs tow package and some other goodies. Rolled my 1000 dollars from the Maverick to the Ranger. So good luck everyone and hope you all get your Mavericks this model year.

You will like the ranger. If not for the mileage I would already have a ranger. The 24 vs. 29 on the Highway is what turned me off.

I personally think it’s a great color but if it’s not your color then some lucky person will be thrilled to buy it! I didn’t get the color I would have chosen but I am so thrilled to have a hybrid that I don’t even care about the color!

I thought about getting the first edition in rapid red, I went to the dealer and they had an explorer in rapid red I was not a fan it was too red. I ordered my truck in hot pepper red site unseen and when I got it wow better than I could have imagined. It is a beautiful color I love it, I am so happy and everyone that sees the color loves it including some that thought they would hate it. It is burnt orange in the sun and a little more red in the garage. The burnt orange color I love, I would not change it for any other color. As I said in the past to describe the color stunning!

Aw, cmon now. I don't know why Longhorns and Aggies don't get along better when they have so much in common. For example, both applied to UT.
