So - with my confirmed order of a base XL Hybridd with only drop in liner and basic trailer hitch do I have a chance? Pretty simple no frills order

It depends on your dealerships Allocation for the year. If they are at their limit, Ford will send stock unsold units to dealers with more Allocation and not build yours.

This is the first real Ford distributed statement I have seen that comes close to admitting that not all 2022 model year orders will be filled. I feel like it still isn't QUITE there with an admission, but it is pretty close! Not that I am happy to see it.....

I mean....I don't expect them to say "exactly 3,549 Mavericks wont be built in the 2022 model year unless specific constrained items are removed", but their word choice still leaves much to be desired.
my dealer told me last fall that taking a few options off of my order would help it not to be delayed more.
My maverick hybrid was already going to be bare bones but I took off the bed liner and bed cover(will get myself)

I ordered mid august and I am still waiting.Got a February 28th build date a month ago but that has already been pushed back to March 22nd

Yes, too late to remove/change anything. It could be waiting on SIBL? Or it could be on "hold" waiting for a chip? Our dealership has some F150s and Broncos on hold for chips and I know some Maverick's are too. From what I have heard, many of these are delivered earlier than that real late time.

But honestly, I don't pay much attention for the ETA for any of our in-stock or retail orders. Some show up way before they are supposed to (usually Escapes or Edges), and some are always late.

I think you are good! You will get your Maverick sometime! Mine is set to build a month from now.....no idea when I'll actually see it!
Thanks for your reply!..just hope is its sooner rather than later...

This is crap. There are many people who ordered their Mavericks with or without add-ons (My Hybrid XL has no add ons except for a drop in bed liner) in June or July who have NO updates on their builds meanwhile many orders placed in August and after have received their trucks. I called Ford yesterday and talked to a very nice woman in the Mavericks support group and she said they (her colleagues) are receiving many complaints like mine that they know that trucks are being delivered to later orders and everyone there is asking management W*F is happening and management hasn't a clue.
I have a clue.... Ford is going to push those early orders to the end of the year hoping that people (I'm not one of them) will give up on this BS. I've seen posts that people are giving up and cancelling their orders and moving on to other vehicles. Ford screwed up and priced these vehicles too low and they are hoping the cancelled orders will work their way through to the dealers so they can sell them far above msrp. I know there is a chip shortage and Ford in their greed are sending those chips to finish F150s 250s 350s etc. with a much higher profit for Ford. But to disregard the people that put their $500 (that is not refundable in my case) down in June or July and give them nothing but an email about 3D printed items add ons is nonsense. Nothing as far as a build date after 8-9 months in is a case for a class action lawsuit in the making.
I mentioned to the Ford worker on the phone that the the least Ford can do for those of us who are more than likely not going to receive their trucks before the one year anniversary of our orders should NOT be charged the transportation charges that are added to the cost of the vehicles. She agreed that, that would be appropriate but she had no solution for me where to start my quest for this reduction of cost.
It was intimated that these trucks were going to arrive in the Fall of 2021 (it was in their advertising) and they knew it was a lie especially as it came to Hybrid trucks.
I would appreciate other opinions on this matter.
Can you let me know what number you called to get the Maverick Support Group at Ford?? Much thanks.

Yeah that's what I should have done long, long ago. I was stubborn. Wanted it all to come directly from the factory finished with the Ford logo stamped in the bed.

Foolish me.
Yes, I really wanted the Ford logo on the spray in! lol
I can live without it.

I was told by my dealer that i wasnt able to change anything on my order (this was just Monday)
I ordered June 25th no dates or vin yet.
I have been waiting on my hybrid for 8/9 months and I can't figure out any rhyme or reason to this whole process.

Ordered Confirmed: 06/29/21

Vin Received: 01/29/22

Production Date: 02/09/22

Built Date: 02/09/22

Shipped per Email: No Date Given

Dealer Receipt: 18-28 Days per Email

Lariat Hybrid. Carbonized Grey, Group 500A, Trailer Hitch Receiver, Co-Pilot 360, Spray in Bed Liner,

Still Waiting - Main concern now is it will be damaged in shipping.

Settle in for an 8/10 month period of aggravation.

Good Luck to All

Now that I've gotten a chance to read everything. I think that Ford really underestimated this truck, but that's not new news. I completely get everyone's frustration. I'm grateful for @fordvideoguy going over everything so often for us.

What about for some of us that are stuck at priority 2 for months now that can't change their order. I'm tired of being left out every week!!!!
I've been Priority 2 since November. I'm going to ask my salesman to get it off of 2 (I think that they can do that then have the regional put it back?) so I can pull the floor liners from the order just because. I can get WeatherTech liners and get the rear for the hybrid once available. Possibly change the color. I haven't decided yet. Again if not scheduled by April I'll start looking at other options.

Ford painted themselves into a corner by tying so many options to the lux packages.

My biggest "must haves" are heated leather seats and blind spot detection/cross traffic alert. Closest I can get without going aftermarket is the active X heated seats on the Lariat luxury package.

If I could have gotten the seats without the lux package I would have gone that route, but Ford requires me to buy a bunch of features I don't really want in order to get what I do care about.

Its great marketing when supplies aren't short, but right now that's not the case.
A cold weather package like I had on my 15 Fiesta would have been perfect. Heated seats, side mirrors and wiper park. That's all I needed. The inverter, and the heated steering wheel is nice too, but not required. I could have added the inverter. Everything in the xlt lux package is just there because it's required.

I sent an email to my dealer to respond to Ford that my customer order is not to be changes I will hold in place for my scheduled build no matter how many times they reschedule it. IE I want it as I selected and nothing less If I have to wait another year I hope then I will be one of the first in line

6 Co-Pilot360 w/o XLT or Lariat Luxury Package Remove Co-Pilot360

About a week ago, I contacted my salesman and asked if it would help to drop Co-Pilot 360. He said no, the only thing delaying my order is it's a hybrid. :D

I ordered two 2.0 XLs with Co-Pilot 360 (from two different dealers) at the end of January (26th and 27th) and both are already scheduled for production been moving between March and April but currently March for both. So 360 isn't too much of a constraint to me.

Hybrid itself is a massive constraint.

Not really anything to do w/ stock orders. There will be very few stock orders for the Maverick..... with whatever leftover parts they have!

On other vehicle lines as well, Ford has actually restricted options on stock orders. Popular in-demand features that have limited availability are being save for retail orders. So it is the opposite of what you say.

You obviously know that the dealer has the deposit, and not Ford...... so why do you consider them "one and the same"?? How is denying reality helpful???

I just had a shower thought/ anxiety around having to deal with my dealership for resubmitting for 2023.

We are west coast and hence time zones are not on our side. I’m already worried about trying to get them to get in there and submit ASAP that day, and how long it will take them to go through all of the orders. That we even need to do this/ can’t do it ourselves is pretty absurd in this day and age.

It's obvious Ford expects Copilot 360 to be a significant constraint going forward, or they wouldn't be telling dealers to advise customers to drop it. I just find it amusing that my salesman had no clue.

I ordered my hybrid XLT with Lux package and CoPilot 360 July 24 last year. I guess I'm just screwed? We really NEED a vehicle. Last I heard, I'm P2, but it's been that way for a while. I've never gotten a confirmation, not scheduled, nothing. I check in every couple of weeks, but...nothing. So frustrating.
You never got a confirmation email from Ford regarding your order?
