We all expected this as several sources had reported it here but now it is official. I don’t know how FordMoCo keeps screwing these things up so badly. The Bronco, Maverick, probably Lightning. It is embarrassing. I know we have supply chain issues but Management needs to be able to adapt to that somehow.

They should just ask for voluntary deferral to 2023 MY. Offer price and incentive protection along with Priority 1. I would sign up right now And be done with it. If I get my truck one year from today, so be it.

I will be content with waiting for the 2023 model as long as I can order a Hybrid instead. I would also need to extend the lease on my Ranger… hope Ford will be able to accommodate that request.
That's a great idea! Maybe Ford would listen!

Well this is depressing. I ordered a Lariat on Jan 27 with no options but HPR color. Looks like a sure thing it will not get built.

It makes sense that Ford would support big dealerships. They sell more product, offer better deals, and will create better company loyalty. Ford works on metrics and sales.
I would agree you with, but every order placed for a Maverick is a guaranteed sale, if not to the person who ordered then to someone wanting one, so why should big dealerships get an allocation before a small dealership? The Maverick is sold no matter where it goes!

My xlt lux hybrid with copilot 360 order from September 24th is probably worthless in its current configuration right?
I ordered the exact same truck as you a week later, stay strong brother!

Just my 2 cents;

I think faced with these choices, I would remove only the items I could add locally like SIBL etc. and let the order ride.

Then in August when sales reopen, be first in line and reorder the truck if my my22 was not delivered as I wanted it.

Then I would go to another dealer and order another truck with same options. What's losing a measly 500 deposit compared to what a dealer ADM could do. Also, this would help with allocation problems.

Then I would go to each place 5 days later and LOCK in the best APR rate you qualify for. I did this and the very next day I got a build date and Vin number.

I would also get full documentation of sale price out the door. Signed by sales manager. with no worry about funny business when it arrives.

So, if you even if both trucks delivered the same day, just refuse it if they agree to give you the deposit back and maybe throw in a bed liner of something. Dealer should be happy to get that deal.

Nobody can predict the market 6 months from now.

Your likely built and parked in the lot waiting for chips of some sort...
Yeah your probably right. Got excited when delivery est. was 3/24. Now that its 6/22 I resolved that I will no longer check my tracker 3 times a day and not worry about it....just hope my 2000 Jeep brake and transmission lines don't rust out more and blow in meantime...LOL

I read the posts here then watched Tim's episode, then read again the remaining posts this morning. I sound like a broken record with what I say next, but if Ford extends my lease, I will wait. I want this truck. I want my 360, Lux package. I could drop my cover and floor mats as they were an add on. Since my SIBL was part of my lux package, the only way I would drop any item is to have those costs removed from my invoice.

I was promised a vehicle in September and e-mail from Ford with the FITS accessories a truck with my name on it is waiting for me. And it said it WILL be built in 2022. I shouldn't have to re-order in August.

Tim did say that any orders carried over to MY23 will keep their original order date and therefore their priority over new MY23 orders. The MY22 carryover orders will also be allowed to make changes as necessary for differences in MY23 trucks. He also said that there was price protection for these carryovers, same as what's been done for the Broncos.

I think the Ford Tracker tool should be updated to show the following: (1) Order Confirmed (2) Order Scheduled (3) Order Built (4) Order moved to parking lot purgatory (5) Order released from parking lot purgatory and (6) Order delivery date. My XLT hybrid with basicly no options is supposed to be built the week of March 7. If it is I am fully expecting my delivery date to be sometime in early July.

Not bad, 1 day to confirmation, 4 months to order scheduling, 3 months to build date and 3 to 4 months to delivery date.

I ordered my hybrid XLT with Lux package and CoPilot 360 July 24 last year. I guess I'm just screwed? We really NEED a vehicle. Last I heard, I'm P2, but it's been that way for a while. I've never gotten a confirmation, not scheduled, nothing. I check in every couple of weeks, but...nothing. So frustrating.
