I have a scheduled production date of 3/28 for an XL AWD, and the only constrained option I selected was the spray in bed liner - should I request that be dropped?

What's the point of butchering your build if you end up with a truck you don't want? The only thing I'd remove is the SIBL, but how do you take that out of the XLT Lux package?

Why Ford doesn't jut solve the problem by saying they aren't doing SIBL at the factory anymore and they will give us a $300 credit automatically, I just don't know. It would take that one problem right off the table instantly and everyone would be fine with it.
You can change your Lux package from SIBL to Lux package with DIBL, thereby removing that constraint part of the Lux package.

I will go through and read everything tomorrow, but I will say that if my car isn't scheduled by April, I will cut my losses and sell the parts that I have accumulated and go find something else. This was the absolute perfect vehicle for me. A ten month wait to even be scheduled is a bit much for even me and I am an extremely patient person.

I wonder if this will drive the used market for Mavs up even higher. Carvana and Vroom have had a few XLT's for 40k.

You can bet on it.

I have been saying for months on here that inflation will wreak havoc on cars.

Also there is no guarantee just because you have money that a car will be available for you.

This is by design.

What is the point of Ford’s recommended change No.9? If you ordered a Lariat Lux package (which requires Co-pilot 360), why would they want you to drop the Lux package but keep (add?) CP360, when they say CP360 is itself a constraint; and if you ordered a non-Lux Lariat with CP360, they recommend dropping CP360? Seems like they recommend swapping one constrained build for another (unless they are implying that CP360 is not a severe constraint, and if you got it, no harm in really keeping it.)
Also, all those constraints which are available as Ford accessories, like bed extender or bed cover, why not just offer a voucher to pick them up from the dealer when they are available, rather than not build the vehicle at all.

Good Question!!! I have a Lariat with only 360 ordered but I also see the option of dropping the Lux package and keeping the 360. I guess this because the 360 is listed as
"constraint" number six, so if you do the second option you will move up from "constraint" number nine to six.

My xlt lux hybrid with copilot 360 order from September 24th is probably worthless in its current configuration right?

Got the call an hour ago from my dealer with the request to drop sibl. Big thanks to Tim Bartz for sharing as much information as he can with us Maverick fans. I definitely would’ve been caught off guard and probably a little mad about changing configuration had Tim not been talking about this for months. Ford should bring him on as a corporate marketing liaison.
I won't offer any spoilers since he's talked about his life and current standing at Long McArthur during the YT members only Saturday lot walk videos. I've had access to lots of SWAG, insider 4-1-1 and more for a few bucks a month.

I'm going to go out on a short thick limb and say @fordvideoguy is perfectly happy as LM's eCommerce Director and barring a knock-his-socks off offer he'll stay put and stay committed to being the lone true source of factual information about all Ford models.

This evening's YT E28 was one of the best ever regarding all the news, changes, MTC and Reddit threads and he spent an additional 14 minutes above and beyond the usual time limit answering every question. How many dealership employees do you know are still on the job after 8:30pm?

Can you imagine the outrage and rants on this and other forums if Tim had not given us notice of Ford's communications months ago?

Mmm I got a call from my dealer asking to drop some items. I sensed he was just going throgh the motions. He did say most did not drop these packages. I just wish Ford would just tell us if we got to go to MY23 or not. So I can make other plans. If I get it at the same price, be guaranteed I would be first in line I would go to a 23. But one thing I won't do is to start this whole charade from scratch again. Now I am waiting to hear that the issue in Europe is causing this. I know Ford does not care but it feels good to vent a bit.
