Based on the OP, XLT orders with Luxury package and 360 are not effected.

.
I would love to believe it, but I didn’t catch that at all. Can you be more specific?

My dealer told me what OP posted, about 10 days ago. Said his Regional Manager(?) wanted me to drop Lux on my Hybrid XLT, I said not happening. I'll wait, all those heated items in the Lux will feel great, next winter. My dealer got his first Mav last Friday, XLT Awd, sibl, 4k. I've been waiting since 6/28. There is hope in the north country.

Did you drop the SIBL? I am curious how people are going to react to this new news. Removing things from their orders, holding strong at the risk of it being a 2023, etc.. I know I am sticking with what I ordered. Although my only constrained item is CoPilot.
I also have a June 14 order I have an XLT with co-pilot 360 and that is all. I will be damned if I am removing my co-pilot 360. If Ford won't build my truck because they are using the chips to build mine for other more fancier trucks then by God give me the first damn 2023 Mav that roles off of the assembly line.

I don't know what to do. This really sucks. I don't need a vehicle now or in the next 8 months or so, but I don't know whether it's worth waiting around for FMC to get their 💩 together.
I might start looking for an alternative.
So freaking disappointing

The memo from Ford was only about unscheduled orders. If you are scheduled & have a build date/week you should be all good!

If you aren't scheduled, I wouldn't panic. Most unscheduled orders will probably be scheduled.
But they do have too many orders with constrained options than they can schedule for this MY. Dropping those constrained items is a way to get unscheduled orders scheduled faster (and make sure you get as 22).

If not enough people drop those items, some orders will have to be moved to 2023 MY.

"These constraints will require some customers to have to either modify their existing 2022 model year retail order, or wait to place a 2023 model year retail order when the Maverick order bank re-opens this summer."

Based on this memo, it looks like many (/most?) unscheduled orders will like schedule in 2022 MY. Some may be pushed to the next.
I am confused, why then for scheduled orders (in production 2/10 but no built email) would my tracker delivery date change from 3/24 to 6/22? when the only option I had on list was SIBL? So to late to remove it? even though it may be built? Trying not to worry..LOL!

I'm waiting on a 11/8/2021 order date Hybrid XLT. I do not have an issue dropping any accessory that can be added-on later but I can't pass on the Lux package and CP360. Lets see what happens

EDIT: I hate that the Lux package changed the SIBL to a drop-in. If they cannot supply the SIBL, do an optional Bedliner delete and just do the SIBL locally. I guess I will be on the Marketplace selling an unwanted drop-in liner.

So if I drop my spray-in bed liner from my Lariat Lux package, is Ford going to drop my price as well? Also, what is the Cargo Management system it describes? I could probably drop that too if it helps.
Can’t. You would have to drop the entire Lux package.

I thought at one point they had two different lux packages. One with sibl and one with drop
The XLT lux package changed from spray in to drop in. I can’t remember exactly when, but November or December. The lariat lux is stiIl with spray in.

From this morning.

SUMMARY
There is no denying that the excitement and demand for the All-New Ford Maverick truck has been
tremendous. The 2022 North American Truck of the Year has been a huge hit with customers, with many
still waiting on updates regarding the status of their retail orders. The combination of incredibly strong
retail order demand and unprecedented supply chain issues has created a number of capacity constraints
that have prolonged our ability to schedule many of these retail orders for production. These constraints
will require some customers to have to either modify their existing 2022 model year retail order, or wait to
place a 2023 model year retail order when the Maverick order bank re-opens this summer.

RETAIL ORDER SCHEDULING CRITERIA
While Ford still plans to produce a limited number of 2022 model year Mavericks for dealer stock
inventory, the priority for remaining production will go to unscheduled Maverick retail orders based on the
date they were submitted by the customer’s Ford dealership, vehicle model and configuration selected,
part availability, and the number of vehicles the customer’s Ford dealership receives:

1. Retail order receipt date (oldest retail orders scheduled first)
2. Vehicle model and configuration selected relative to capacity constraints on these specific
optional features and packages:
• Co-Pilot360 package (optional on XL, XLT, and Lariat trims)
• XLT Luxury package (optional on XLT trim)
• Lariat Luxury package (optional on Lariat trim; requires Co-Pilot360 package)
• Spray-In Bedliner (optional on XL, XLT, and Lariat trims; included in Lariat Luxury package)
• Cargo Management System (optional on XL, XLT, and Lariat trims; included in XLT & Lariat Luxury
packages)
• Bed Extender (optional on XL, XLT, and Lariat trims)
• Bed Tray (optional on XL, XLT, and Lariat trims)
• Hard Trifold Tonneau Cover (optional on XL, XLT, and Lariat trims)
3. Retail order verification completed by the Ford dealership
• A required step by the Ford dealership for retail order scheduling is to complete the Customer
Order Verification Process (COVP) which authenticates and approves the retail order.
4. Dealer Allocation based on Approved Market Basket Formula

RETAIL ORDER CUSTOMER OPTIONS
With expectations of these unprecedented supply chain issues continuing, we would ask all of our Ford
dealers that have customers with retail orders including the optional features and packages listed above
to contact their customers and review the options available to them:
1. The customer can work with their Ford dealer to make amendments to their 2022 model year
retail order (i.e. remove constrained features or option packages), dramatically improving the
opportunity for it to be scheduled for production this year.
• Memo: Please note that we recommend against any changes to the retail order’s body code
or PEP code (e.g. Lariat to XLT) as this will also change the receipt date of the order.
2. The customer can continue to wait for their 2022 model year retail order to schedule within the
capacity constrained levels. If the order is unable to be scheduled in the 2022 model year the
customer would need to work with their Ford dealer to convert their retail order to a 2023 model
year order when the retail order bank re-opens this summer.

Dealer Letter Template
RETAIL ORDER AMENDMENT RECOMMENDATIONS
For those retail orders that have been delayed due to capacity constraints on the optional features and
packages listed above, please find the recommended order changes below.
Order Combination Recommended Change

1 Spray-In Bedliner without XLT/Lariat Luxury Package Remove Spray-In Bedliner
2 Hard Tri-Fold Tonneau Cover w/o XLT or Lariat Luxury Package Remove Tonneau Cover
3 Cargo Management System w/o XLT or Lariat Luxury Package Remove Cargo Management System
4 Bed Extender w/o XLT or Lariat Luxury Package Remove Bed Extender
5 Bed Tray w/o XLT or Lariat Luxury Package Remove Bed Tray
6 Co-Pilot360 w/o XLT or Lariat Luxury Package Remove Co-Pilot360
7 XLT Luxury Package w/o Co-Pilot360 Remove XLT Luxury Package
8 Co-Pilot360 w/o Lariat Luxury Package Remove Co-Pilot360
9 Lariat Luxury Package Remove Lariat Lux Package but keep Co-Pilot360
10 Lariat Luxury Package Remove Lariat Lux Package and Co-Pilot360

We understand that customers who placed a retail order are frustrated with continuing to wait for news on
the status of their order, which is why we are looking for our Ford dealers to support by advising their
customers of their options. It is extremely important that our retail order customers understand their
options and are given the choice of how they would like to proceed before any changes are made to their
order.
Thank you in advance for your support.
Ford needs to complete customer orders, then work on dealer orders for inventory. . .

If they cannot do that, they need to allow customers with carry-over 2022 orders to be the first ones built in model year 2023.

We all expected this as several sources had reported it here but now it is official. I don’t know how FordMoCo keeps screwing these things up so badly. The Bronco, Maverick, probably Lightning. It is embarrassing. I know we have supply chain issues but Management needs to be able to adapt to that somehow.

They should just ask for voluntary deferral to 2023 MY. Offer price and incentive protection along with Priority 1. I would sign up right now And be done with it. If I get my truck one year from today, so be it.

I will be content with waiting for the 2023 model as long as I can order a Hybrid instead. I would also need to extend the lease on my Ranger… hope Ford will be able to accommodate that request.

I disagree. I feel ford should complete all MY22 customer orders from here on out until they are all built or unable to be built because of constraints. Only then should they start to populate ford dealers with stock vehicles. Regardless of Allocation.

Edit.. if Allocation was to be taken into consideration, Ford should have cut dealers retail customer orders off at their allocation limit and not allowed any customers to order there with literally no chance of getting a built unit.
