No they are not rolled over. You have to order it again, according to the message.

"
If the order is unable to be scheduled in the 2022 model year the
customer would need to work with their Ford dealer to convert their retail order to a 2023 model
year order when the retail order bank re-opens this summer. "
Well I am wrong, but what exactly does that mean? Do we get a priority over completley new orders?

No priority, no price protection from previous my order, no guarantee of dealership Allocation for your order. Clear things up?

So am I correct in assuming that if my order was for a hybrid back in JUNE AND I have both the XLT Luxury package AND Ford Co-Pilot 360 then i don't technically have a combo that is constrained enough to exist in the list of suggested changes to existing, unscheduled orders, OTHER than the fact that it is a hybrid and those are the last out of the gate? Should I convert to a 2023 ANYWAY? Can I at this point?
Similar boat here - ordered in September, but XLT Lux + CoPilot. Doesn't seem to be in the list. Very odd - why would XLT Lux be limited, and CoPilot be limited, but not when they're both together?

Just got off the phone with my Ford salesman. He said if I want it this year I'd need to delete all kinds of stuff, I told him to keep it on order as is since I'm really in no hurry. Ordered it in October. He did also say they would honor the price if I wait.

I'm curious about what converting to a MY23 will look like?

Will you be at the front of the line? Maybe, but there's tons of folks here at the front of the MY22 line still waiting for their trucks.

Are dealer allocations going to take precedent over order number? Probably, so line position is irrelevant.

Are the constrained items you wanted in MY22 still going to be constrained in MY23. Probably.

Is it going to cost you more to get the same things in MY23 as it did in MY22? Definitely.

What happens if you leave your order as-is, don't convert to a MY23, and just wait it out? Ford should offer you the same truck for the same price if you're rolling over, or at minimum something like a $500 credit, but most likely they'll just cancel your order and you're SOL.

While the email release comes off as Ford potentially not being able to fulfill all MY22 orders, perhaps it's more of a scare tactic. If enough people modify their orders, constrained items may no longer be "constrained" and Ford could potentially fulfill all the MY22 orders.

Interested to see how this plays out.

From this morning.

SUMMARY
There is no denying that the excitement and demand for the All-New Ford Maverick truck has been
tremendous. The 2022 North American Truck of the Year has been a huge hit with customers, with many
still waiting on updates regarding the status of their retail orders. The combination of incredibly strong
retail order demand and unprecedented supply chain issues has created a number of capacity constraints
that have prolonged our ability to schedule many of these retail orders for production. These constraints
will require some customers to have to either modify their existing 2022 model year retail order, or wait to
place a 2023 model year retail order when the Maverick order bank re-opens this summer.

RETAIL ORDER SCHEDULING CRITERIA
While Ford still plans to produce a limited number of 2022 model year Mavericks for dealer stock
inventory, the priority for remaining production will go to unscheduled Maverick retail orders based on the
date they were submitted by the customer’s Ford dealership, vehicle model and configuration selected,
part availability, and the number of vehicles the customer’s Ford dealership receives:

1. Retail order receipt date (oldest retail orders scheduled first)
2. Vehicle model and configuration selected relative to capacity constraints on these specific
optional features and packages:
• Co-Pilot360 package (optional on XL, XLT, and Lariat trims)
• XLT Luxury package (optional on XLT trim)
• Lariat Luxury package (optional on Lariat trim; requires Co-Pilot360 package)
• Spray-In Bedliner (optional on XL, XLT, and Lariat trims; included in Lariat Luxury package)
• Cargo Management System (optional on XL, XLT, and Lariat trims; included in XLT & Lariat Luxury
packages)
• Bed Extender (optional on XL, XLT, and Lariat trims)
• Bed Tray (optional on XL, XLT, and Lariat trims)
• Hard Trifold Tonneau Cover (optional on XL, XLT, and Lariat trims)
3. Retail order verification completed by the Ford dealership
• A required step by the Ford dealership for retail order scheduling is to complete the Customer
Order Verification Process (COVP) which authenticates and approves the retail order.
4. Dealer Allocation based on Approved Market Basket Formula

RETAIL ORDER CUSTOMER OPTIONS
With expectations of these unprecedented supply chain issues continuing, we would ask all of our Ford
dealers that have customers with retail orders including the optional features and packages listed above
to contact their customers and review the options available to them:
1. The customer can work with their Ford dealer to make amendments to their 2022 model year
retail order (i.e. remove constrained features or option packages), dramatically improving the
opportunity for it to be scheduled for production this year.
• Memo: Please note that we recommend against any changes to the retail order’s body code
or PEP code (e.g. Lariat to XLT) as this will also change the receipt date of the order.
2. The customer can continue to wait for their 2022 model year retail order to schedule within the
capacity constrained levels. If the order is unable to be scheduled in the 2022 model year the
customer would need to work with their Ford dealer to convert their retail order to a 2023 model
year order when the retail order bank re-opens this summer.

Dealer Letter Template
RETAIL ORDER AMENDMENT RECOMMENDATIONS
For those retail orders that have been delayed due to capacity constraints on the optional features and
packages listed above, please find the recommended order changes below.
Order Combination Recommended Change

1 Spray-In Bedliner without XLT/Lariat Luxury Package Remove Spray-In Bedliner
2 Hard Tri-Fold Tonneau Cover w/o XLT or Lariat Luxury Package Remove Tonneau Cover
3 Cargo Management System w/o XLT or Lariat Luxury Package Remove Cargo Management System
4 Bed Extender w/o XLT or Lariat Luxury Package Remove Bed Extender
5 Bed Tray w/o XLT or Lariat Luxury Package Remove Bed Tray
6 Co-Pilot360 w/o XLT or Lariat Luxury Package Remove Co-Pilot360
7 XLT Luxury Package w/o Co-Pilot360 Remove XLT Luxury Package
8 Co-Pilot360 w/o Lariat Luxury Package Remove Co-Pilot360
9 Lariat Luxury Package Remove Lariat Lux Package but keep Co-Pilot360
10 Lariat Luxury Package Remove Lariat Lux Package and Co-Pilot360

We understand that customers who placed a retail order are frustrated with continuing to wait for news on
the status of their order, which is why we are looking for our Ford dealers to support by advising their
customers of their options. It is extremely important that our retail order customers understand their
options and are given the choice of how they would like to proceed before any changes are made to their
order.
Thank you in advance for your support.
Thanks for posting.
This is what @fordvideoguy has been recommending to folks in his videos for awhile now.

It's definitely worth doing. I took the tonneau cover off my Lariat luxury hybrid order and a scheduled the next week.

So let me understand ..Ford is asking for those that have an order either drop a constraint or lose your order entirely if it can't be built in 2022. Then you can start over and get somewhere in a new line for a 2023. All the while getting a new price and who knows whats added or deleted from the new model. Somehow that doesn't sound like Ford has anyone at the top that understands anything about their reputation or consideration for existing customers. In the least since they have the finalized list of customers and quantity of specific orders and options I would think a company as large as Ford would have a means to determine how many 2022's they can build including constraints they have on order with scheduled delivery dates. In other words they could be a hellva lot more specific on. where the "real cutoff should be ( at least within 90% accuracy) if they were willing to take the time to do their homework.....heck just run an ERP to get close. Of course it could be as poorly as Ford has handled this mess, they don't have scheduled orders for constraints to use in their ERP run.....
My stance on this has been if Ford can't get me a truck in 22, I have no reason to believe they'll feel the need to get me one in 23, after allocations have reset. So, I'm out if they try to roll me over and wait for the competition to come up with something. I know other manufacturers are short too, but I don't want to reward Ford's behavior if I don't have to. If they get my my truck and it's not a lemon or marked up horrible, it's all good. We can still be friends.

4. Dealer Allocation based on Approved Market Basket Formula

This criteria seems to have the highest weight. PLENTY of Lux packages scheduled for non-summer orders hybrid or otherwise. While a large chunk of us with summer orders are stuck with a "constraint" blame when the real issue is allocation.

I know where the ford customer based ordering system that the ceo has stated they want to go to can stick their “approved market basket formula”

Say one thing, do another. 🤔

If you don’t get a MY22 and have none of the constrained items, you would probably be better off changing to a bigger dealer to order your my23. The bigger dealers know this, that’s why they charge over sticker.

I can deal with (almost) the fact that mine might not get built for my22, as I'm a late October build. What I won't do is continue to wait if they do not give those of us waiting some kind of priority when they start building the 23 trucks, because this is what it sounds like from this wording.

Sounds like you start over from zero with the Allocation process at your dealer. What if someone not even on the 22 list got to your dealer and ordered before you 😂

What I just read here if you are ordering a XLT with Co-Pilot 360 customer should take it off if the Luxury package is not included. Also spray in Bedliner. Also XLT luxury package if not doing the Co-Pilot 360 with it. Is this the correct understanding concerning the XLT Maverick. (Thanks) I can do without the rear sliding window also. So are they saying if the customer come in under those guidelines the Hybrid XLT Maverick will be built in the 2022 year? Answers anybody in Maverick internet land..
