@fordvideoguy explained things at his dealership by stating that 70% of his overall orders were for hybrids. The same percentage of trucks were ordered in June, July and August. With the OKTB not taking effect until December, Ecoboost orders took the early lead.

His dealership had 30 allocations in February and 29 were for hybrids. His allocations for the month are compete til the next 80 come up in March. He also got 10 of 17 FE's scheduled.

His one month of allocations could cut what my dealership has for total orders, 60 (according what my salesman told me a while back) in half! o_O:eek::)

So what is your dealer getting allocated per month?
Interesting question. So I looked back through my text messages, which only go back to Dec because of how my auto delete is setup. Here's what I have starting in Dec.
1st week of Dec he said they had 6 allocations, but it's not clear if that was for the week of Dec 9 or the month. On Dec 13th I went to the dealership to look two customer XLT hybrids that showed up, which he thought were ordered on June 12 (?), but wasn't sure, so were they November allocations? Then there was nothing else scheduled for Dec. Also Dec 28 is when I changed my LUX package from SIBL to DIBL.

Then on the week of Jan 13 he got 4 scheduled, 1 XLT (None LUX) and 3 XL. The following week nothing scheduled, he did say he had 70 Maverick orders, 16 are XLT hybrids from June/July with me and one other at the "top" of the list. Then nothing until last week (Feb 17) he said 1 Lariat LUX got scheduled, a June order. So that should mean I'm now truly at the "top" of the list!

I'm sure he hasn't told me everything that's gotten schedule or arrived probably because he doesn't want to get more upset. I've told him each time that I don't blame him for the allocations. I would more look to person in the dealership who's supposed to advocate to the Regional Manager about getting dates. This person should be pushing for the dealership, pointing out how other dealerships in the Phoenix area are getting build dates for orders in Aug/Sept while there's still June/July unfilled orders. However, that all depends on whether my dealership is in the same Region as Phoenix, and if all the pending orders from June/July have constraint items and those Aug/Sept orders didn't.
So from what I'm seeing it looks like possible 11 allocations in the last 3 months. With 65-70 pending orders at roughly 3-4 per month there's no way all the orders get filled by end of production in Sept. At best there might be another 28 orders fulfilled leaving roughly 37+ unfulfilled. So where does that leave those 37+ orders? It is certainly going to get interesting in the next few month because Ford said they closed the books so they could insure all Maverick orders get built. They must be really ramping up some serious building in the next few months because my voodoo math says they won't make it!! Thankfully, I suck at math so if those of us who ordered from this dealership still might be pleasantly surprised by everyone getting a truck...Thanks Oprah! 🤣

Interesting at 3-4 per month with about 70 orders this seems to be significantly off from a dealer like Long McArther who gets 30 per month and has over 300 outstanding orders. Other members here (one specifically) seems to believe that allocation as a percentage is the same between large and small dealerships and this information makes it seem that's not the case.

A couple POSSIBLE explanations for how Ford gets these built:

1. If the majority of orders were placed June-August then theoretically the pace of getting orders for future months scheduled will pick up since there aren't as many orders in those months.
2. Once larger dealers have all their orders scheduled, small dealers can be accommodated rather quickly. As you noted, one months allocation for a big dealer might well handle an entire model years worth of orders from one or more small dealers.
3. Ford ramps up the number of Mavericks produced by reducing Bronco Sport production. Seems like there are a bunch of those on dealer lots.

Just my guess. I have no inside info but I do try to stay optimistic about getting my January EB order by the end of the MY.

1. Yes, I think that once Ford gets past the June/July bubble then the other months should start picking up speed, but that would also assume that Ford concentrates on those early month. However, when you see a XLT or Lariat with LUX from Aug the that's not concentrating!
2. Yes, larger dealerships seem to be the vacuum pulling the lion's share of build dates, which shouldn't be the case because we the people (customers) has spoken far and wide that we want Maverick and they all weren't ordered from 3 large dealerships! Just saying! 😁 Think of how many small dealerships could have their whole order lot closed out in one week if Ford shift the orders away from the large dealerships for one week of scheduling!😁
3. Funny that you mention that about Bronco Sport, because today as I went by the dealership (not stalking) I noticed at 4 Sports on the front line. If Ford did slow or stop building Sports for a few weeks or a Month I wonder how many Mavericks could be build. Especially when you think that the two vehicles do share a lot in common! 🤔:)

You have to understand that "you" really aren't Ford's customer. Ford sells the vehicles to the dealership then the dealership sells them to you. Ford is just rewarding their best "customers", aka, the larger dealerships. I'm not going to sit here and pretend that I know any better than Ford does considering they've been in business for almost 120 years. Clearly they know what works best for them and their customers, aka, the dealerships.

Thank you for taking the time to compile this information, it is appreciated. I believe that it does show the trends that you brought up, they are trying to build the older orders when they can but supply constraints and their allocation method seems to get in the way at times. Everyone will get their Maverick, just try to be patient.

Thanks! After 6.5 months, I'm car shopping again just in case these low scheduling #s go on for a while, but I would love to get scheduled in March. The next most appealing car for me is $10k= more expensive.
My maverick was scheduled for early April and got pushed back further. I have been looking for another vehicle. Just can't find anything I want on the lot. And if it's ordered, it is already sold.

Every time I get fed up and start looking for something else i just come back to "damn the maverick is really the best option bar far". Rav4 is the only other one I come close to considering when I factor in price, looks, and mileage.

My Hybrid XLT Lux with moon roof and spray in liner was ordered 8/17 and I haven't heard anything from Ford. I called factory rep and he said my order is indeed in. WTF is this normal?

Oddly enough, I have fallen in love with the Kia EV6. But...the trim I would want is actually 20k more than my Maverick order (but then you get the ~$7500 EV tax refund, bringing it closer to 14k more than the Maverick). Difficult pill to swallow.

Based on MTC members' posts in the scheduling email threads of 2/3, 2/10, and 2/17, the table below presents the number of Mavericks scheduled by month ordered. These numbers are not intended to suggest anything regarding Ford's actual scheduling numbers but to identify trends in the age of the orders being scheduled. (It is interesting, though, to see how many more orders were reported scheduled in this forum in December in comparison to January and February.)

As in January, August hybrid orders were the largest number scheduled, but by a larger margin over June and July. There was also a notable increase in September hybrid orders scheduled. Those came at the end of the month, as 12 of the 13 were in the 2/17 thread.

After this table are the January and December numbers from my previous threads for ease of comparison.

This is fantastic. We are getting some October hybrids. I didn't think we had any. If trends continue, I might see an email within the next 2 months. That's fairly within my original estimation.
