I've lurked this forum for months to get some insight into when my truck might be built and delivered and found it comforting I'm not the only one that has wondered just wtf is going on at Ford. Anyway, I finally called Ford corporate today to see if they had any status on the Maverick XLT Hybrid I ordered last October from a local dealer and which Ford had long ago confirmed via email. The Ford rep told me that parts delays were a problem but are now mostly resolved and it's now transportation from rail yards to dealers that is the major bottleneck. The Ford rep assured me that the truck will be built and delivered within the next few months and they will fill all confirmed orders. They told me to contact my dealer and get a few pieces of info to better determine where I stand in their allocation.

So, I call my dealer and am informed that they just received notice from Ford this morning that no more XLTs or Hybrids will be built this year if they are not already scheduled for production. WTF!! I told my sales rep what Ford had just told me this morning, which is 100% the opposite of what the dealer had just told me and they had no explanation. I plan to call Ford again tomorrow to see what they say in response to what my dealer told me.

My dealer has been keeping me posted on the status regularly and I have no reason to believe they are lying since my sales rep told me she had to make about 10 bad calls to other customers today.

I was hesitant to buy a Ford to begin with, so if it turns out Ford has indeed screwed us, I will never consider them again. What a cluster.

Hmmm I think I've heard this before, like maybe once or twice a week lol. And then immediately see a ton of new hybrids scheduled each week.

I call BS on dealer..

Gotta love these "my dealer told me" threads.

I love the my dealer told me stories. I would be more prone to believe a politician than I would a car salesman. Of course they're going to tell you that hoping that it leads into a "but I have this Ford Escape here available today!" Stop listening to the dealer and wait to see what happens. This is one of the more ridiculous "my dealer said" threads.

Have you thought about going with a low demand vehicle? Checy Colorado might be good. I see 299 in stock near me!

It totally makes sense to schedule a bunch of hybrids from March to April production and then stop completely for the rest of the year. So yeah this post is probably legit.

Would you just chill out. For screwed you? Really? They don't want to sell you anything. Just another impatient person who expects Ford to be Amazon Prime after going through a two year parts and supplier issue that is out of their control. Why don't you order a Cybertruck? I've had my Maverick Hybrid Lariat for three weeks after ordering in June. It takes time!

I hope for @fordvideoguy 's sake, that OP's dealer was misinformed. Tim would be on the phone for a week...

I've received no message from Ford regarding this. Does anybody think it would be weird that they only shut down XLT and Hybrid not XL, Lariat, Ecoboost? Hmm
Some people just want to watch the world burn. Hahahaha.

Ford still has production to schedule from May forward. What's possible though, is given you have an October hybrid order your dealer may have realized he has too many other hybrid orders ahead of yours, and doesn't expect to have enough allocations to get it scheduled. Instead of telling you they can't get YOUR truck scheduled, they're saying Ford is cutting off all scheduling.

Or they fouled up your order and don't want to admit it.
