Finally got my Maverick this week.. an XL with AWD/4K Tow Package. It was a one I snagged from a dealer "in transit." I was told it would take a week, took nearly two months. Not nearly the wait as some of the other users on here, but still a wait! Only regret not getting it in Alto-Blue and doing the FX4 Package.

Anyways, since getting it this week, it's already taken a few trips to the dump to clean out my garage.

I'm looking to take my Maverick out on the sand on long island NY, the sand is extremely soft due to the high traffic on out limited beach use areas. even without heavy use the sand is soft, not like what i drive on when i drove near my parents in NC. Many people don't air down and the tire ruts are very deep so im concerned for the clearance in those previous ruts.

The sand looks fairly firm in your post? Did you airdown at all?

Thank you, hoping to see more sand footage from maverick owners when the weather breaks.
The sand at this beach is pretty compact due to the tides. Had I gone in the softer sand I would have wanted to air down. My truck doesn’t have the FX4 package so I don’t get sand mode. So I actually went into sport mode and was light on the throttle because it engages the rear wheels more than any other drive mode that I have. I size up to the FX4 tire size and went with all-terrain’s. So if I needed to air down I had a little wiggle room

Today I trimmed the extra piece of Bedrug that I pulled from my former Tacoma, and added it onto the rear of the bed. Just a little extra protection, and it fit!

Had my first road trip with Tyger yesterday, 450 miles on I95, I26 and back roads. i’ve never had adaptive cruise control or lane centering in a vehicle and did not really know what either one of those did. Leaving as early as I do traffic is usually not an issue and I am able to use cruise control for the majority of the trip.

I set the cruise control and noticed it slowing down when I got behind a car it seemed like it was way ahead, aha…adaptive cruise control 🤓 I remembered the salesman telling me about setting the gaps so I fooled with that until I got the least amount of space between vehicles (still safe distance) and from there it was great! Then I found the lane centering button and turned that on. Tyger was basically on automatic and drove herself almost the whole way! 🥱 I started my day watching my average mpg and by the middle of the trip didn’t even care what it was because I was so thrilled with the handling and control of my Maverick! 🤩

My mpg was not the best because I was having too much fun and punched it to 85 a couple times😱 What a truck! I love it more now than the day I picked it up🥰

Heading for Weir, TX to pick up a Golden Doodle puppy. 3 hours one way. Zeroed trip 2 and will report back on mileage using the computer. Almost every check I've done with math has been very close to the computer.

Puppy Pix and mileage was OK.

Yes, it's a real truck. Got my trailer and going 180mi each way to pick up a wood burning stove. Just washed it Saturday. Needs it again. Life in Northern Ohio.
Owning a car wash in Canada must be like selling ice in Florida. Printing endless dollars.

Today I kept my wife from driving it in sport mode again by filling up her car with gas...
I'm halfway through my tank of gas using only 'normal' mode. Next tank of gas will be exclusively 'sport' mode. Can't wait!!

If you start telling us “Tyger” talks to you with a sweet sexy cowboy accent and you think he could be “The One,” we may have to start an intervention.
