I’d rather help, if I can, save someone maybe $4k or whatever the mark up is or something if they are really wanting this truck and I can give the contact of my sales guy and we can work it out. What I would really like if they can take the amount they are about to make off mark up and take it off an other truck that I was to order maybe a f250 or something (totally opposite from Maverick lol). Or even 20% of the mark up

If the dealer called me tomorrow and said your Maverick is here but it's not the right color. All I would say is where do I sign.

I'd be cool with anything other than Cyber Orange...and Shadow Black. Purposely avoided any hues of blue as well, not because they're not awesome color offerings, but because the husband's truck is blue and I didn't want to be the couple with the matching Ford trucks.

Yea looking back at every email it looks like the one said black from ford at the very bottom but it’s on someone that messed up. However I ordered two, one xlt AWD that already arrived last year and I didn’t purchase. With all the emails and stuff I was always in contact with my ford salesmen checking on things and he was my point of contact.
One image shows black but it says “computer generated image shown, actual truck may vary”

Yikes. That's a bummer. I suspect the dealer is going to tell you that the time to address the issue was when your confirmation email arrived stating you'd ordered a black truck. If you really don't want a black vehicle, I'm sure you can buy it and flip it, then order a '23 when the banks open in the summer. The profit you pocket might help aleviate the sting. But then you'd likely be with no Maverick until late '22 or early '23.
