So do you think I should drop cp360 if I want to ensure the vehicle is produced asap and not delayed? It's not a critical feature for me.
That's what I was told, they are features that I think should be standard on all vehicles. But if you want it asap, you probably should take it off.

Well I ordered Oct 25 Hybrid XL with only trailer hitch and Co Pilot. Really dont want to drop the only main option I got. I'm in no hurry, but dont want to be pushed into MY23 really.
You can always wait a bit, it might be a month or two before they get to October hybrid orders.

I ordered it through Granger Ford if that make a difference. I think Zach said they had 372 Orders between dec 24th and jan 27th. I believe they told me they have 10 order allocations allowed per week. So if 2022 production runs thru october that's 372 maverick orders thru october for Granger Ford at 10 vehicles per week.

My theory and it's just a theory, is Ford put a stop on people ordering the hybrids on Nov 15th, and on the EcoBoost on jan 27th, because they know exactly how many of each of these that the factory can build in one years time. They probably dont want to shift any of these special orders to 2023 if they can avoid it.

I think at minimum 90% - 95% of the orders will get filled barring any issues with parts required for the more complicated builds with lux options, and copilot 360 since they are saying these things they are running into availability issues with the parts for them.

That being said, their allocation, and special order scheduling system kind of sucks, however it was probably designed when 90% of buyers bought vehicles off the lot, and only 10% of buyers ordered very specific vehicles. This is the other way around with almost if not ALL buyers doing special orders.

Ford is telling us that there are more orders than what they can fulfill that have the cp 360 package on it.
So do you think is this a current issue or do you think it's an overall issue for the remaining outstanding orders, meaning that there's a strong possibility that some orders with 360 won't get built this MY.

That's what they said, that if some don't take off the package they may not get built in 22MY and get pushed to 23MY.

I wonder how many would need to drop it in order for it to balance out.

What if your truck (ordered with CP 360) has already been produced but is on "micro chip hold"?

Could that be because of the CP 360 shortage? Or is the current "chip hold" something else?

Still doesn't explain why ecoboost with all the extras (lux, 360, etc) are getting scheduled and hybrid not. There is more to this story even Tim doesnt know yet.
My Sept 2nd order 1st ed EB AWD has not been scheduled.

I was on the fence about the 360 and thought about adding it on a month ago. Now I’m glad I didn’t.

Electronic nanny shit. Not needed. Extra $600 option for unnecessary bullshit that will fail over time, and cost to be repaired. When you drive, you have to be aware. Not on your phone. The problem with copilot 360 is it's designed for distracted drivers, AKA the ones fucking around with cell phones and otherwise distracted. The blind spot mirror function. We didnt have this shit years ago. You added convex mirror circles to the corner of your mirror, check your mirrors and look over your shoulder before lane departure. All that junk is subject to fail, and heaven forbid somebody knocks off your BLIS power heated lux mirror with blind spot amber light, and your looking at $700 at minimum and in the correct color for a new one.

Copilot 360, that's an option for for inattentive drivers, cell phone junkies, people who like to be ass riders on the freeway, and people who could care less to actually look at their mirrors and over their shoulder before switching lanes. All copilot 360 does for a driver is make them an even less aware, lazier driver. All for the low buy in price of $600-$700 along with the additional sensors and complexity added to the vehicle. The only nice feature it has is the backup camera which could be good for hooking up a trailer, but even that's really unnecessary, and expensive if it breaks.

I'm sure you're speaking from experience. But in a Ford Explorer and a Ford Expedition with varying generations of Co-Pilot 360, I have not had any reliability issues, 250,000 miles combined miles. Maybe my experience is an anomaly?
