Sure hope so... I'll also need an assurance that there will be no test rides or anyone wanting to look in one. All wishful thinking of course assuming I get scheduled and all.. Probably very low odds.
They should not allow test drives.

I'm not sure why you'd not want them to let another potential customer merely look at it. People are going to look at it after you buy it and have it out in public, you know, and then it won't be under the watchful eye of a dealer who wants to make sure no harm is done that they'd be required to fix. I was grateful to the dealer who allowed me to look at one that was already sold before placing my order.

That being said, people who want to see a Maverick before ordering one won't likely be much of an issue now since ordering is shut down for 2022 models.

For my Rapid Red First Edition Hybrid with Luxe Pkg and 360; it took 4 weeks of "In Production" and 10 days in "being built". I'm on the 3rd day in the "shipped" category with an estimated delivery date of March 5th. I'm in Nashville, TN. I ordered August 3rd.
Was yours a Lariat? I ordered 7/26/21 the identical as yours assuming it is a Lariat? Keeping my fingers crossed for next week Thursday. Congrats to you on a build date.

No they generally won't allow test drives in a customer's car because of the chances of getting in a wreck.
A dealer rep got his Maverick and allowed a prospective customer get it with another sales rep. And the knucklehead moved the seat and messed with the mirrors. And that ended that real quick. So they should know better.

Because accidents happen and I don't need any more delays having someone have to fix a stain on my seat or scratch on my brand new truck. I don't care if people want to see the outside. But why should someone be allowed to look and sit on the inside? No one's going to be doing that to your truck at a grocery store parking lot.

Get it built so they can park it, in an empty lot in Mexico. I have a build date of March 7th but due to the chip shortage, I can't even be excited about it.

I was trying to buy a Bronco Sport last spring. Got a pin # from Ford for my employee discount. But the Bronco Sport Badland version were not to be found. Chip shortage. After looking for 4 months, I ordered a loaded Lariat Maverick on August 6th, Even if I ever get scheduled for a build. My pin # will expire by the time it comes in. I visited my Ford dealer this week. He gave me a Ford phone # to call to complain. After about a 10 minute hold time, the ford employee got back to me and said I should be getting an email soon to my build date. Wait and see.
