It's interesting that my dealer ordered an XLT ecoboost for their inventory 4 days before my XL ecoboost .

The XLT went into production the day after my ordered XL did and is currently shipped and will be at the dealer by the end of the month. Meanwhile my XL is delayed to May 25th.
Any difference in the options that might require different chips?

UPDATE:

Ford responded to my dealer and said my "Unit is currently on chip hold and vehicle visibility should update upon release."

I want to figure out if they are actually trying to fix these "chip hold" vehicles or just letting them sit while they build other trucks.

So... Could anyone who gets an XLT with CoPilot360 built (and not held) in the next 30 days please post here? (It would also help to know if you have a 400W inverter, but that's not necessary.)

If that happens, and the currently held vehicles are still sitting without chips, then we will know that they may have been shunted aside and forgotten.
I think it's a bit early to talk about vehicles bring forgotten about for something that just happened today. That being said, I do believe you'll find other near-identical builds that do not have this delay due to the seemingly random nature of Ford's production process. There's a ton of posts on this forum of identical builds that have had wildly different experiences in scheduling and delays. I know it's frustrating but unfortunately there's little we can do.

I have an XLT with Co pilot and a 400w inverter, and I'm holding out on the slim hope that they wouldn't push my build forward two weeks just to have it delayed in the next step, but we'll see. I'm not sure when delivery ETAs pop up but my scheduled buld week is 2/14.

Yes.

I also went to the dealer and had him pull up the Vehicle History report, which has all that information and more.
Thanks. I got my VVR just yesterday, so need to wait until next Monday to get it again. (I don't want to be more of a pest than I've already been. LOL.)

Thanks. Answering a few questions would help me out a lot:
  • Is it an XLT?
  • Does it have CoPilot360?
  • Does it have the 400W Inverter?
Thanks again...

No 400W

Delivery estimate got pushed back a week from 02/25 - 03/04. We shall see if it comes in but i know mine had been built around 01/17 and status changed to 'received' (on visibility report) to a "ramp" location on 01/18. Then on 01/31 i got email saying its built (which obviously is a delayed notification).

I am not holding my breath but i will let you know if it actually ships. So far no shipping information on visibility report and no hold notification either.

Received e-mail 1-29-2022 @ 12:21AM that I had a built Maverick expected between February 19, 2022 and February 25, 2022.
Although I haven't gotten the dreaded e-mail yet but it seems that I get my updates a day later than the majority of people.

I'd wager there's some issue with the hybrids. Super sus to see hybrid build dates pushed back an entire month and now deliveries also being pushed back. Hopefully @fordvideoguy has some insight in his live stream tonight.
I asked that question to a fellow Maverick FB member. He said his was delayed for three months, and his is an ecoboost.

I’m in the same boat.

XL, AWD, spray-in liner, copilot 360.

Truck has been in production since January 20.

Estimated delivery date moved last night from March 10 to June 7.

So frustrating!

I really do want a Maverick. Particularly the one I ordered. But Ford is really making it hard.
l'll probably look at other vehicles if this delay ends up not being a system glitch.
Feeling the same way as both of you guys. I went in expecting a 3-4 month wait with the dealer setting that expectation. 7+ months is perhaps a bridge too far. How the dealer responds to my email about the delay will help determine how I proceed.

Problem is that I am likely in the same boat with other makes/models at this point.

Yes, June.

I couldn’t believe it, either.

Ordered in July.
Same boat here. Ordered and XLT AWD, 4k, drop in bedliner, slide window, and floor mats in June. Mine went into production 1-14 and the moved the delivery from 2-17 to 5-18.

Hoping it's a glitch but I checked my VIN on United Road tracking and they made my shipment inactive, which doesn't seem like great news.

I think your last line about the cost is probably why it got made before yours.
I don't know if the cost has anything to do with it. I have a Lariat Lux hybrid with moonroof and hard trifold tonneau -- MSRP 32.8k -- and I was the same build week as DryHeat. So I feel that it's just more of the random chaotic inconsistent process that Ford seems to implement.
