The nut should not be visible on top of the stud. The stud sits on the bottom the cover goes over the stud then the nut goes on, bad picture quality but noticeably different.Appears correct to me.

Could be. I couldn’t see any of that in the first pic.The nut should not be visible on top of the stud. The stud sits on the bottom the cover goes over the stud then the nut goes on, bad picture quality but noticeably different.
Really gives your engine compartment a clean and upscale look. Thanks for sharing! I'm wondering if there's a cover for the 2.5 hybrid.Thought y’all might like seeing the engine bay cleaned up a little. I bought the cover available for the Escape 2.0.
Fits great. You will want to buy the additional studs to secure it with but all in it was only about $75.
Admin update:
Added some more looks at another 2.0 engine cover install.
Oh, so there is one for the hybrid! It is Maverick specific or borrowed from the Escape? When I ordered mine for the Maverick hybrid, it arrived in 2-3 days.

Thanks. Yeah, I saw that post ... AFTER I posted my question. LOLRead the immediately previous post... or other posts in this thread for full info. The parts are available.
Didn't mean to make you think there is one specifically for the Maverick. It is for the Escape, but it does not say Escape. It only has the Ford oval on it.Oh, so there is one for the hybrid! It is Maverick specific or borrowed from the Escape?
Thanks. No worries. I meant a cover made for the Escape that would fit the hybrid engine in the Maverick. And, thanks to you, we now know one exists!Didn't mean to make you think there is one specifically for the Maverick. It is for the Escape, but it does not say Escape. It only has the Ford oval on it.
The part numbers on my order follow but be sure to ask your parts guy's opinion before you order.

I ordered the parts on faith that they will fit, I don't have the truck yet. The parts 'should fit' because it's the same hybrid engine in both the Maverick and the Escape.Thanks. No worries. Thanks for the update. I have the truck but not the parts. LOL. $75 is a bit steep in my mind. Not sure how often I'll be opening the engine compartment, but if it helps keep it clean, it might be a wise investment.I ordered the parts on faith that they will fit, I don't have the truck yet. From pics that I have seen of the hybrid engine, the ball studs and threaded insert are on the Maverick to mount the cover and it makes sense that it should fit. Not guaranteed.
