Maybe the moderator can create a "my dealer told me (fill-in-the-blank*) production has been stopped!!!!" thread, then consolidate all these posts to that one thread which will make browsing this forum much more productive and more enjoyable. o_O

*engine! hybrid! hybrid engine! all Maverick! Cadbury egg!

Well Morty, the thing is this. Three hours to you is fifteen minutes to me. I'm 73 years old and don't have all those hours to sit holding the phone. That you called me "dude" tells me positively that you are much younger than I and so you have the time, a luxury I wish I still had!

Anyway, I called Ford today and low and behold I got through! A nice lady answered. She seemed nice over the phone but I can't tell if she was BS'n me or telling me the truth. She said my order was in and correctly submitted. It had been sent in June just as it should have but she could not tell me why I have not yet been scheduled for a build.

I explained that my dealer said I would probably end up in model year 2023 but she said Ford is committed to getting all those orders in "queue" built for 2022 and just to hang in there - it would be built because everything is in order. She attributes a series of bad luck features for my delay. For example that the Lariat I ordered had a three hinge cover, was a hybrid, etc. I told her the order was made through a small, rural dealership that probably had few allocations. She said that certainly could be a factor. Beyond that, she had nothing to provide except, "hang in there and you will be rewarded with a wonderful truck". Hard to tell who to believe these days.
The whole point of the ROVP process is that it provides allocations for retail units. They are still an issue for scheduling.....but as far as we have heard, they should be able to schedule all (/most?) existing hybrid orders for the 22 MY.

In what manner was that message received? Does your family member have communication in some form from FORD (not from someone who heard that someone heard that someone said).
He said from Ford. His last name is on the dealership sign.

It's hard to square production stoppage with what appear to be the latest constraint revelations:

Upcoming Planned Production Schedule:

March: 5,500 total (2,000 EcoBoost, 3,500 Hybrid)
April: 5,500 total (2,200 EcoBoost, 3,300 Hybrid)
May: 6,500 total (expected to be 55%/45% - 60%/40% EcoBoost / Hybrid)

Ford thanks for the Maverick but your dealers are killing your brand, no wonder overall ford sales go down every year for the past few years.

Well, here, for what it is worth, is what the dealer told me today. I called Ford and they told me my order was in and in the "queue" waiting to be scheduled but no date that would happen. She said to hold tight as Ford is committed to building all the 2022 orders, even like mine from back in June. But, just read what the dealer told me:

" I understand your frustration. I also read the notes from the expert blogger, whoever he is (I think he means Tim). He has some interesting theories, but a hanging order does not mean that the responsible dealer screwed up. The fact is, this vehicle is so much in demand that Ford cannot keep up with where a single unit is in the process. True fact, at this time ALL Maverick models are over obligated and the order banks are closed. We have several orders that we have been tracking that are suddenly in hold status. Also true, you can go online, order one and get a confirmation email.. Our order site showed us that we had only 3 Hybrids that were going to be built although we have over a dozen in the order bank, most since last summer. Your order was one of the ones on the build list. As I was checking on switching it to a 2.0, I got a notification that I had no allocations. OurZone manager checked on your truck last week. Result, she sent a case upline to find out why it dropped off. Frustration from her as well. The bottom line sir, is that I have no earthly idea what is going on with any of our retail orders, all of our stock orders are on hold, and the order bank is closed and has been since November. I do not know if your truck will be built, or if I will get another Maverick this year. Not a good answer, and certainly not the answer you wanted to hear. But it is the truth."

Pretty hard to tell who to believe.

CALL FORD...

Can we just have the admin post that response to all these threads that are popping up and then close the thread? its getting a little ridiculous at this point.

I have edited your post for clarity. This is the key phrase and he should have said this and only this for it to have been the truth.

True, that is the key phrase, but the context sure sounds like a frustrated dealer. Even the dealers on here who appear to be the most informed seem to have to beg for information from Ford. Why is that? Perhaps more focus on their core business rather than remodeling train stations in Detroit (though it is a cool project) might be in order?

I'm not going to pretend I know how to better run a multibillion dollar business. This made-to-order thing has been really popular in Europe for a while, but it's new here.

What should happen is you order, you wait, you take delivery.

Maverick Forum - Order, email dealer every three days, call Ford twice per week, tag executives on social media, complain on forum three times per day about delays, edit order repeatedly to try to game the system, finally get built, email salesman for train number, rail car number, conductor, engineer's SSN.. and always, always include the months where the Maverick wasn't even in production (and you knew this) as part of the "delay" - which is like measuring your junk starting at your anus.

It's all so ridiculous. So many people on here are so extra about it.

If I had a nickel for every time a car dealership or salesperson told a lie, I would have enough money to purchase all of your Mavericks in cash. Well, in nickels.
If I got a nickel for every time I forgot something I'd... well that's weird. Where'd all these nickels come from?

Just received a call from my dealership right now. All current and NON-SCHEDULED hybrid orders will not be fulfilled for the 2022 model year. If you haven't been scheduled yet...you will not get a 2022 Hybrid.

I am absolutely livid right now. I ordered my Maverick on June 10th, passed over scheduling every week, contacted my dealership every week the past 2 weeks asking for an update, but they never responded back yesterday...and now just did this morning. He broke the news to me that my 2022 hybrid will not get made, and gave me the option to roll my order over to 2023s, which he expects to start taking orders for in mid March.

He told me he has to make a lot of unfortunate calls today. I'm sure many of you will get bad news soon too.

I was dumbstruck and couldn't even think and comprehend what he was saying, even though this exact situation has been in the back of my mind and posted about it before and what I feared for over a month now.

I was one of the first people in the entire country to order a 2022 Maverick...and now I won't even get one.

Edit- Update, have been on hold trying to call the main Ford line now for awhile. My only concern now is if my dealership completely canceled my order.

Edit 2- Ford customer service confirmed that my order was still good to go and that I'm still in the queue and they are still making hybrids this year. I was happy and relieved so I called my dealership back...they told me my order was still active...but will just get rolled over to 2023s hybrids since they won't be scheduling anymore 2022 hybrids.

...Currently on hold calling Ford customer service again...

Final edit- New customer rep told me the same thing, my order is still in the system as processing and not scheduled (mentioned how splash guards are on backorder) but said if the DEALER said I won't get a hybrid, it probably means they ran out of allocations and yes, my 2022 would turn into a 2023.

I'm never ordering from a small dealership ever again.
Your dealer is smoking something. And lying to cover his eff up.
