Just received a call from my dealership right now. All current and NON-SCHEDULED hybrid orders will not be fulfilled for the 2022 model year. If you haven't been scheduled yet...you will not get a 2022 Hybrid.

I am absolutely livid right now. I ordered my Maverick on June 10th, passed over scheduling every week, contacted my dealership every week the past 2 weeks asking for an update, but they never responded back yesterday...and now just did this morning. He broke the news to me that my 2022 hybrid will not get made, and gave me the option to roll my order over to 2023s, which he expects to start taking orders for in mid March.

He told me he has to make a lot of unfortunate calls today. I'm sure many of you will get bad news soon too.

I was dumbstruck and couldn't even think and comprehend what he was saying, even though this exact situation has been in the back of my mind and posted about it before and what I feared for over a month now.

I was one of the first people in the entire country to order a 2022 Maverick...and now I won't even get one.

Edit- Update, have been on hold trying to call the main Ford line now for awhile. My only concern now is if my dealership completely canceled my order.

Edit 2- Ford customer service confirmed that my order was still good to go and that I'm still in the queue and they are still making hybrids this year. I was happy and relieved so I called my dealership back...they told me my order was still active...but will just get rolled over to 2023s hybrids since they won't be scheduling anymore 2022 hybrids.

...Currently on hold calling Ford customer service again...

Final edit- New customer rep told me the same thing, my order is still in the system as processing and not scheduled (mentioned how splash guards are on backorder) but said if the DEALER said I won't get a hybrid, it probably means they ran out of allocations and yes, my 2022 would turn into a 2023.

I'm never ordering from a small dealership ever again.

Your dealer is not the authoritative source, and is almost certainly looking to "roll you over" into a guaranteed new order for a 2023, while being able to sell your 2022 to someone else when it arrives. With a 5-10K "ADM" of course.

What makes this even more shady is that the claim of "he expects to start taking orders for in mid March" makes no sense for multiple reasons.

1. The order bank for 2023 wont be open for months after March.
2. If you were being "rolled over" to 2023, it would be automatic. You don't have an order canceled and re-inputted.
3. I am coming back to add a third. So....3....if you were being rolled over to 2023, I gurantee you would have heard it from Ford, not your dealer.

The date the order banks for 2023 open (August) has been out for some time.

Try using search. This is like 50% of the threads now.

You've been a part of this forum since August and you still trust your dealership? There have been posts seemingly every week about the latest BS that someone's dealership tried to tell them. Don't be naïve.

I am just going to start cutting and pasting this comment from a different thread into all of these new threads. Haha.

Reason: The dealer either did not send the order through the ROVP system (for verification) or it was not approved because of mistakes. Either way the dealer was informed in time to correct the errors but did not.

Thanks to Tim Bartz for publishing many informative videos to help us and dealerships to get the ordering done correctly for those of us ordering Mavericks. Tim's videos have helped me and my dealership get my order done correctly.

Now onto the subject in the title this video is queued to the start of the section on why dealers are projecting their mistakes (ROVP failures) onto Ford and not themselves as to why customer orders will not be built.

Tim shows exactly what steps should have been done for orders to be correctly entered into the ROVP system and verified for approval so that the order is good to go for getting a MY2022 scheduled build date and built.

Again @fordvideoguy thanks for the many many helpful videos.

Here's to hoping Ford can at least get the June, July and August orders scheduled soon - they still have 7-9 months of production left...it's a long time...

I ordered my hybrid Maverick June 9th. I was scheduled last week for March 14th, now pushed back to April 11th.
I also work at a small Ford dealer....we have not heard anything about no more hybrids being scheduled. The latest scheduling notes we received show a national constraint of 40% hybrids for next month's scheduling.
As others have pointed out, your dealer probably did not correctly "verify" the retail order in ROVP. That had to be done mid-November for 2022 hybrids.

This was the same message I received. It was delivered by a family member who has no reason to want to steal my truck. I also verified with Ford that the vehicle was properly ordered. Believe it or don’t.

I've tried to get through to the Ford customer service number several times since last June and only got through once. The rest of the time I am on hold for 15 minutes and I just give up. Can't get through so have to rely on what the dealer says.

Where there's smoke there's fire. My dealer told me long ago they were never going to get all '22 hybrids built. I know a good amount have been built or scheduled but just in the past few days countless people have had their build dates pushed out yet another month. So all these dealers making these calls that pass people off just for fun? I think most of them know that the large majority of hybrid order customer's are not going to switch to EB, so I doubt their lying to get a couple switches to EB to make a sooner sale. People that ordered in June do not have build dates and you all think that people are lying and that all will get built in 2022? Please.
