Lol 15 mins… dude I stayed on hold for 3.0 hours once then 3.5 hours a second time to get through to a Canadian airline just to make a tweak during a flight ticket order- welcome to the pandemic and companies slashing jobs. I have had really good luck and awesome service from ford (I’ve called four times haha, but each time the very nice ladies just confirmed the vehicle is still Processing).
Well Morty, the thing is this. Three hours to you is fifteen minutes to me. I'm 73 years old and don't have all those hours to sit holding the phone. That you called me "dude" tells me positively that you are much younger than I and so you have the time, a luxury I wish I still had!

Anyway, I called Ford today and low and behold I got through! A nice lady answered. She seemed nice over the phone but I can't tell if she was BS'n me or telling me the truth. She said my order was in and correctly submitted. It had been sent in June just as it should have but she could not tell me why I have not yet been scheduled for a build.

I explained that my dealer said I would probably end up in model year 2023 but she said Ford is committed to getting all those orders in "queue" built for 2022 and just to hang in there - it would be built because everything is in order. She attributes a series of bad luck features for my delay. For example that the Lariat I ordered had a three hinge cover, was a hybrid, etc. I told her the order was made through a small, rural dealership that probably had few allocations. She said that certainly could be a factor. Beyond that, she had nothing to provide except, "hang in there and you will be rewarded with a wonderful truck". Hard to tell who to believe these days.

Nice, glad you got through. That is an interesting note on the concept of time… makes me want to use mine more effectively.

I guarantee you heard it from Ford, not your dealer.
That's Hilarious. The only thing any of us have received from Ford is hey it's taking a long time we've got some used plastic pieces that will call fits that we're going to give you after you someday get your truck.

My post said " I guarantee you would have heard it from Ford, not your dealer." I just went back to check.

Not sure why you quoted me but changed what I said?

Okay I'm sorry I cut out a lot of your message however the gist of what I'm saying is none of us have heard from Ford. Not sure how you could guarantee Ford would communicate in a meaningful manner to its customers since it hasn't since the launch of this truck. The OP of this thread was one of the first people to order a Maverick and hasn't heard anything- NOTHING.

That’s not true- your dealer is an idiot- Ford stopped ALL future orders for ‘22 in order to fulfill current orders in queue

Received an email this morning from a dealer in Canada: “ I just wanted to check in and see if you would be interested in Factory Ordering a Maverick XLT Hybrid? This way you would be able to get all the features you desire in your next vehicle! “ 😂 😂 😂

I hope you are right. I called Ford too and rep was nice and said similar message about Ford's commitment to having all orders built for MY22.
But my dealer called and told me otherwise too.....

I called Ford, 800-334-4375, two days ago and did not have to wait for one of the nice ladies to answer! She told me the same thing.

So, call the 800-number and verify your order has been placed properly. If so, then call the dealer and advise them that Ford Detroit says the order is still valid.

If I had a nickel for every time a car dealership or salesperson told a lie, I would have enough money to purchase all of your Mavericks in cash. Well, in nickels.

When the time comes? You haven't ordered a Maverick yet? If you've ordered, and your dealer somehow 'forgot' to give you copies of your order and the ROVP, it would be perfectly appropriate to remind them today that you need it for your records.

I don't trust dealers but I have always doubted that all the ordered 2022 Hybrids would actually get delivered before the 2023 MY comes out.

Yea, shady. Considering a bunch were scheduled yesterday.

Odds are, they didn't order it correctly, or they are trying to convert it to a retail order.
Never ascribe to conspiracy that which can be adequately explained by incompetence.
