That is my understanding from what I have read so far. My Maverick is under this recall and I don’t plan to bring it in for the inspection until I’m reasonably sure that Ford has a supply of replacement fuel tanks in stock. I don’t have any sign of fuel leakage or smell coming from the fuel tank area and so I feel safe enough to drive it for awhile before getting this recall performed.A number of Mavericks subject to recall have been sold. So someone who already has a Maverick subject to recall brings it in for inspection and the service department finds that the tank is should be replaced. The owner will have to leave the truck parked at the dealership until February?
