A/C comes on automatically

In my 22, if I don’t want the AC to automatically come on i set to to the fan setting to only blow into the front seats. AC doesn't turn on by itself in that setting, but I usually don’t bother, I just tap if off. My other cars with automatic climate control (not Fords) did the same thing, kind of annoying, but you get used to it.

First thing I did in the Mav was kill full auto fan speed too, cannot stand the noise from any setting over 3 bars.

There is no fan setting that controls airflow to only the front seats... The fan control is fan SPEED only.

Most people dont want to have to fight HAL 9000 just to drive their vehicle. The way the Mav does the AC is frankly very strange. No other car I, or most people, have driven will try to automatically turn on the AC and blast you with cold air at random. I also dont want to have to change my vents depending if the AC is on or not, I have them where I like them.

I get why they want to keep humidity down, but if AUTO is turned off, the system should listen to that instead of ignoring the user's command and usurping control.

Well go buy yourself an F100 and all you need to do is crank the windows up and down.

2025 XLT Hybrid AWD.
When I hit the Start button, the A/C comes on automatically (which I don't want to happen). I looked around but can't find a setting to turn that off. Can someone please point me in the right direction. Thanks.

I have the same year and model of Maverick and it also bugs me to no end. If i want the AC on I can make that decision on my own, yet some Ford engineer decided that it will start no matter the temperature. Frustrating to have it auto start when it is below 10C (50F) and I want heat.

I find the fact that I can’t regulate the temperature from the Ford app so I can pre-cool my car in Arizona truly annoying. I know that I can leave the air-conditioner on high and when I start the vehicle with the app, it’ll come on high, but I should be able to alter it like every other manufacturer allows with their auto start features. Come on Ford.
Maybe I should ask not ask too loud They’ll offer it by subscription for 20 bucks a month

I just adjust the temperature

I have a 23 lariat hybrid. My app does not allow you to change the temperature, and I don’t think they put the hardware in to do it. I guess they’ve changed that in later models if you have something different.

I can't offer any help. My Maverick is a 23 hybrid, and the A/C has never come on by itself.

It's been my experience that the truck's AC will default to whatever setting it was when the truck was turned off. Then, again, I have a 2022, Maybe Ford changed that in subsequent years.

I think it's new functionality they just added in the last app update.

I’ve updated my app, but the function, isn’t there
I don’t think they have the hardware in anything but 24 and later models

I don't like that either on My 2025 the Heat on is the same!! If I turn the Heat or A/C off before I shut the vehicle off the next time I start it, they're on again!!
