Thanks. I had to make some educated guesses on certain aspects of the body side and front end so I just sketched up what I would want it to look like. I don't believe I'm there yet, but it's closer to what the truck will look like than these renderings that just take a maverick and seal off the front grille.
You should work for Ford. That’s a sweet rendering!

Thanks 😀. I actually wanted to be a car designer for Ford for much of my life. Unfortunately car design schools are insanely expensive, like 30 grand tuition a semester. But I'm trying to teach myself some skills like sketching, AI, and 3d modeling and building up my portfolio. We'll see if it goes anywhere.

Awesome AI job!

2X, Rad'est stock vehicle to have ever entered the US market, if it looks like that!
The deal breaker for me may be the high beltline and outward visibility limitations.
Thanks guys. I think the actual truck will be a little taller and less sporty than that, but it's in the ball park. I was also told by someone who saw it that the nose is a little lower, so I might need to make some tweaks.

Just came across this Geely RD6 pickup from China. Comes in hybrid or full EV. 207" long. Seems very similar to what the Ford EV pickup will be

I think I read somewhere that the “EV Skunkworks” in California were studying the Chinese EV’s?

Hey, what goes around comes around. I’m assuming the production facilities for the new EV line of vehicles is in North America…

I'm sure they are studying Chinese EVs. Jim Farley talks about Chinese EVs all the time. The new Ford EVs are using licensed battery tech from a Chinese company.

Would you mind screenshoting that image and sharing it? I saw some of the vids, but haven't seen anything showing the actual design of the headlights or uncovered roofline thus far.

Yep they'll be built in Kentucky in the plant that used to make the escape. They're following Chinese EVs very closely, the CEO of Ford, Jim Farley, was driving a Chinese EV sedan as his personal car for about 6 months and said he didn't want to give it up.

It's one of these. With Ford saying they want to make a rwd affordable performance sedan using this EV platform, I hope it's something like this. To put it into perspective, this Chinese model has a starting price of around 30 grand.

It's only visible for a second or two...

For my old eyes it's a little hard to define the true details, seems a little "boxie" to me. Funny they changed to rear tag location from the right to the left. Time will tell when better pics come about, for now i'm not real impressed, but it doesn't matter anyway, i'll not be buying an ev.
Amen. I will never buy one, same with a hybrid. We have nothing but trouble at work with hybrids and EVs.
