My dome light randomly lights even when the switch is off

It's been happening since new. The dome light randomly lights even when the switch is off. Seems less of an issue when driven daily.

After being parked for 9 days while we were on a cruise, the light stayed on for about 20 minutes straight with the switch set to off. Next day it was fine again. My truck has never been back to the dealer, and I don't want to take it in for just this quirk. Anyone else experience this?

I haven't experienced that issue in my Maverick. I did have that same thing happen in my wife's Corsair. Strange

This is a problem with the 2022's, and 2023's that came with a flood battery. The later mavericks came with a AGM battery, which seemed to stop the problem. After 4+ years, I replaced my flood battery with a AGM battery,and that seems to help.

I noticed the same thing yesterday.
The switch is off, and after I got out and came back in the truck, those lights were on.
In my case, I opened and shut the door and they went off.
There is likely some (ill)logic involved.

All 25's have an AGM.

I think the described effect is opposite what you are talking about.

Not really. It's set to blackout mode. It should never come on unless set to auto, or the on position.
