Pro tip for anyone extending their load length with these hitch extender doo-dads, those tie-down points on top can be ratchet-strapped to any high point on the bed (tie-downs, or the gate latching pegs, but those could slip), thus stabilizing the end of the load. Bonus stability if you cross themquick siding run 12'
No pic, but filled mine up with 1400lbs of pebble and had no issues. I'm really afraid to haul or tow anything with my Mav though... 2025 Tremor and dind't put any thought into the 2k tow limit

Towed a 6z12 Uhaul trailer from Portland, OR to Lakeside, CA which is about 1100 miles.
Trailer was nearly full of my sister-in-laws stuff, moving her to her son's home after my brother-in-law passed away.
I estimate it was about 3700lbs all said and done.
Towed just fine, no real issues. I could definitely tell it was back there but it got that job done.

I’ve never understood why someone would lower a truck. It’s a truck! If you want a butt dragger buy a Mustang, which I’ve never owned as I don’t like climbing out of a car.My Useless lowered truck.
Some of us want the driving experience of a car while having access to the utility of a truck. That was basically my #1 reason for getting a Maverick (Lobo) and not a Ranger.
... And I also own a Mustang.

32 cases of vinyl plank flooring at 39 lbs each, plus pallet. Close to 1300 lbs. 2024 Maverick XL Hybrid. The guy loading the pallet in the bed at Lowe's had a look of horror. The rear tires looked fine. I drove carefully, reached 55 mph, and the truck never broke a sweat on mostly level roads. The power meter never got above 20%.

Went camping last week.
I wouldn’t, cooling really only comes into if you’re pushing hard in the desert, and the hitch can physically handle it. No major hills around? Just drive like a loaded semi. Slow starts, keep the speed down. It’s not a Faberge egg.No pic, but filled mine up with 1400lbs of pebble and had no issues.
