Used my wife’s 24 hybrid to tow a 5x8 U-Haul trailer full of furniture 250 miles. Filled up right before picking up trailer and after dropping off trailer hand calculated mpg 28.8. Only other thing I’ve hauled was 12 bags of wet mulch. Since then I’ve bought my own Maverick. 25 hybrid AWD 4K tow. I’ve not hauled anything in my 25 so far. Extra blue mav is our son’s FWD hybrid he carries 3 -6 foot folding tables, folding chairs and misc. items for flea marketing.

Halfway through unloading 1,200lbs. of river rock as part of a landscape project out back. The materials yard is 9mi. from home. Got 41mpg under load and the truck drove like a dream. The extra heavy duty tarp did a great job of protecting the factory bed liner as well as the lens covering the light at the base of the bed on the left rear corner. Rocks were put in by a Bobcat with a front-end loader. Worked like a charm.

Any photos of the sag? Is it 4k package?

Couldn't find pictures of the rest, but it ended up being a pinch over 5,000 lbs of steel scrap total. That didn't include the axles, engine/tranny, rims, and HydroBoost system which I kept. An angle grinder and a stack of cutoff disks turned it into Maverick sized pieces.


Also, the box happens to hold exactly one yard of soil level to the box rails:

What rack is that over the cab? Any more photos? Also what tire sizes? those are nice!!

The rack is from JCR Off-road. Tires are Nokian n-AT 255/65R17 on stock steelies

How did the mount the canoe? How did that hit your MPG?

The Kayak (11 ft) is mounted on a Thule J rack that mounts on the bed racks T tracks. The Kayak alone doesn't have a big MPG hit, but most of the time I'm out with it the truck is loaded with camping gear, and I'm towing the little tent trailer. I still get typical freeway MPG, considering that most of it is through the mountains. Mid 30 MPG range usually. If I'm camping locally without any mountain driving I can still get into the 40's or high 30's.

On trailer, this center console weighs 6,300 lbs. I did run out of traction on my ‘25 FWD Hybrid when I started going uphill on ice during the storm in Feb this year…

ETA: Because I was dragging my feet trying to avoid the storm (pickup was kinda fixed in time, I was picking up from a grass lot and had rain coming), I drove 40 miles an hour through most of the trip, so it got 21/22 MPG.

Lots of 60 lb bags of concrete mix. Anyone who doesn't believe the Maverick is a "real truck" needs to look at these posts....

24 xlt hybrid FWD no type package.
Maybe 1000lbs on the trailer and 800lbs in the bed. We ran 350 miles and the truck handled like a dream

I mean, if a Prius can tow 16,000 lbs, so can a Maverick.

That guy's braver (dumber?) than I am ... there's probably 3000 lbs on the gooseneck, that cradle could've easily crushed the roof straight onto his head
