I have owned nothing but Ford over the past 30 years and they have been all reliable. Some of them I have had over 300k. My next vehicle will be my last and final and it will be a Ford.

I don't blame you for getting rid of it. Enjoy your Toyota and not having that feeling like you're living on the edge not knowing if your MAV will got Tango Uniform on you.

I am happy to be part of the recall world record.
Ditto.. 🤗

The OP stated, that HE would not buy a "Foreign-made" Toyota. (Mexico).
That rational is getting very OLD. Most assembly plants are at 72% robotics usage.
Any defects are more likely to be in materials, used. So, WHERE something is made is having NO relevance.

And it has been predicted that, one major automaker will by 2030. Have a 100% robot assembly plant..
A.. "Dark Factory"... 😕

Some of the big Chinese automakers are basically doing it already, that’s why they are cheaper, supposedly. Anyone who thinks a domestic brand would pass on the savings would be fooling themselves though.

Taking my 2023 Lariat hybrid to the dealer I bought it from today. Selling it back to them.
Monday, it went BAT SHIT CRAZY. It would not start and had 6 error codes rolling across the screen. I used a jump box to get it started and drove 40 miles with only partial brakes available, and rolling codes on the dash. NOT FUN. The third time I have had to use a jump box to start it. Always on Batterty Tender Jr when not being driven. They replaced the 12v battery and flashed 5 modules.
Enough for me! I offered to sell it to them, they offered me $26000. In 4 hours I will get a check, they will get the most unreliable vehicle I have ever owned in 66 years of driving. Good luck to the next sucker. I'm getting a Toyota. I have owned three Toyota vehicles over the past 16 years, and I will own nothing but after today.
The MTC has been a great resource, the Maverick was fun while it lasted, but I am done. Fartley can continue to build record breaking recall vehicle. I won't own one.
Sorry to here that. You must have got a bad one. That happens to all vehicles makes. I have 2024 XLT Hybrid with 31K miles on it and have had ZERO issues. I love this truck. The size, the Gas efficiency, the ride, etc...

One bad apple certainly does not make the whole lot bad. I love mine and certainly would never buy a Toyota, Nissan or Datsun 🤪 truck or sedan or SUV!

Fartley! That is a really good one. His toupee probably smells like farts.
Sorry to hear about your issues. My 2024 ECO has been fine, no issues to date (26000+ miles). One recall so far and that is pending a software fix (trailer break lights issue). Tow a lot in the winter, not had that issue yet. Have had one Toyota and although I had no issues with it, it was cheaply built (Rav 4). Close the door and it sounded like a tin box. Close the door on any of my past 4 Fords and it sounds like quality (2010 Edge, 2015 Edge, 2020 Escape and now the 2024 Mav.

Not getting a truck.
So let's call this what it really is, buyers remorse. You found that you didn't need a Maverick for it's truck-like capabilities, so you feel that a Corolla Cross will better fit your lifestyle.

Stopped at a garage sale a couple of weeks ago. The guy running it said his wife wanted to buy my Maverick. I told him my niece had a Suburu for sale that he would look good in. Nothing said afterwards.

Sorry to hear about your troubles and understand your motives. You apparently got a lemon as that can happen in any marque but is less prevalent in others. My 23 Hybrid Lariat Lux must have been built on a good day as the only issue I have had was with the battery and Ford put in the new AGM battery at no charge under warranty. Good Luck with your next vehicle.

It has to be the 12v battery. The high voltage battery starts the engine, but it needs the 12v to power the systems. I’m not surprised the dealer cannot figure it out. If you mentioned you were thinking of trading it in or selling it back, they are happier taking the truck back and then fixing it.

only because of their new 'battery storage' venture, has nothing to do with the quality of their vehicles
I’m not sure if you’ve noticed or not but valuations of auto manufacturers doesn’t have much to do with the quality of their vehicles.

electrical probs are a pain and difficult to diagnose - if this has happened repeatedly and made it unreliable and they couldn't fix it in a reasonable number of attempts, yeah, I get it. Most reliable car i ever had was an '83 Corolla that went 200K+ miles before selling it - besides regular maintenance all I had to do is replace one alternator. Of course back then cars were a lot simpler, I'm sure these days Toyotas have their share of electrical glitches. But - good luck.

I suppose the OP has left the building, from all the razzing in the replies.. 🤭
And Yes, it does sound like.. Buyer's Remorse..

But, from what HE posted in the opening post.
Sounds like the Mav was driven infrequently to keep the 12v battery charged.
(The unit's mileage was not stated)

He had stated... "I have owned three Toyota vehicles over the past 16 years, and I will own nothing but after today."
Well, I have owned nothing but FORD's for the last 49 years.
