Scratches on 2023 Maverick back windows

Hi everyone,

I recently noticed multiple scratches that I can feel with my finger nail on both my back windows after a snowfall. I lightly scraped the snow off with your traditional plastic snow scraper so don't think it was from this. There was some ice on the car as well. I am not sure if this is a common issue, a defect, or if there's something specific needed to prevent this. It seems like the windows scratch quite easily, which is concerning.

Has anyone else experienced similar issues? Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

After I took delivery of my 2023 XLT this past Sept, I noticed a similar scratch etched in the same area of my drivers side rear window. Couldn't see it until it was out of the showroom and parked in the sunlight. In my case I believe it was a factory defect. The dealership had the window replaced at my insistence but it took an extra week to complete the job as the replacement window had the same defect in exactly the same place. so a second replacement had to be ordered in.

Had smaller, hazier scuffs across both side mirror outer edges, like someone used steel wool to wipe. Mentioned to local dealer, they are replacing both. Said they’d “never seen that before.”
