Ok so I had time today to check on Car scanner pro, and now I'm stumped when I click all sensors the 12v stuff is there in the BCM but car scanner pro isn't reporting anything. Maybe my cheap obd2 bt? I have the full paid version on car scanner pro too. (25 Hybrid XL fwd)

I've got a VLinker Forscan recommended - and I do get values for those, though I don't see all those PIDs, hmm. Also free version - only see 2 at a time.
I need to splurge. Just helped a friend tonight, another app/dongle could only see 1 ECU, just basic OBD2 stuff - not really useful. Car Scanner would have been much more helpful.
I didn't pursue CSP way back because early on they had no Maverick profile, so had to select some prior Ford hybrid, and names/values really messed up, unusable.

Considering some with 25 with AGM drivers report the same ability to drop to lower resting voltage/SOC% and BMS seems happy to leave it there - it seems the goal is the same, the method is likely different.

While the pre-25MY hybrids have no battery spec's entered in available PIDs, so the BMS isn't going to be setup to use them, the 25MY went to the EB method of having some spec's entered.
The manual makes this distinction very clear under battery specs.

So the 25MY BMS doesn't have to use Relearn to attempt to calculate What the battery is and how to charge it, perhaps staying on the safe side, but rather Where the battery is in it's life and how to charge it.

Much better ability when it knows what size it is at minimum, but also battery type.
Thanks, That is good information!
Over 10 months and 4,500 miles. My25XL's 12V battery's resting voltage(after 24 hours) has slowly decreased. It is currently at 12.1 - 12.2 Volts.
I'm guessing that I will be looking for a new battery in a couple of years. No big deal, I love the truck!

Tape over the light sensor ASSUMES that the automatic lights on gives the exact desired results that physically placing the switch to on. (Different code will be executed, resulting in possibility that the "charge the battery" code is not executed with the tape over sensor???). Perhaps we should have a battery save spread sheet comparing those who drive with automatic lights on for miles/time lights are burning to resting so of 12v?🤔🤗
I can confirm this works. Headlights come on and extra draw signals to charge.

OK, well maybe something is different in the 25 XL Hybrid?
Or maybe I am not following what all is supposed to happen.
When I got into the truck the truck SOC was 83%
Drove for about 25 miles and the SOC was 88% (The headlights were auto and I made sure the fan speed was below 5) The Amp rating was 3% when I left and was at 1% when I got to destination. (AGM battery from Ford Day #1)s

When I took the return trip I turned the headlights on and the SOC never got above 89% and the Amp rating was at 1-2% the whole trip.

What am I missing? Or what is supposed to happen when you turn the headlights on, cause I thought it was to trigger the truck to charge at a higher amp rating and get the battery to 100%

Since I don't have a 2025 or 2026 it's up to you to figure out.
So based on your testing, does it look like the triggers aren't the same in the 25?
Cause I was trying to test the way you tested to see if it's still the same in the 25

DCHVA DC high voltage amps

Downconverter to

DCLVA DC low voltage amps

1.8A x 220v = 396 watts

26A x 14v = 364 watts

92% efficiency all else equal

I don't have the tools to see 12V SOC on my 25XL 4Ktow hybrid, But I can tell you that my Maverick also doesn't respond to ANY of the hacks that are working on 22-24 hybrids!
The charging scheme appears to be different.
The only thing in common between the two Hybrid generations that I see, are that both generations are slowly killing their 12V batteries!
Might be best to start with a 25-26 12V battery thread.

Well I'm gonna monitor mine a bit and see. I've not had any issues at all, but I know someone with a 25 that has. But I did all the software upgrades at Ford
