I would get the XLT again, but it would be nice if You could get the 19" Lariat Wheels and B/O Sound System in the XLT!! Not sure if that's possible but would be Nice Options!!

I would buy an XLT again. I agree it's a good value. All I really need. Now I know it would never happen, but if the Tremor ever became available with 4k tow, then I'm probably buying a Tremor. I like that sort of Raptor-lite look it has going, and the better rear diff.
Yea the tremor does look nice in the sense of a Raptor-lite, but I see have the Fx4 I have seen some crazy builds with the fx4! This is one of the examples I am referring too! I am curios to know your thoughts on something like this and does this match what you want from the "Raptor-lite" feel?

I honestly wish Ford would let you mix-and-match more stuff like that too. From what I’ve seen, the XLT Lux package adds a lot of comfort features, but I don’t think it gives you the B&O system or the standard Lariat wheels. Pretty sure the B&O is still tied mostly to the Lariat/higher trims. (Ford Authority)

At the same time though, I kinda think Ford does that on purpose because if you could fully option an XLT with the nicer wheels, upgraded sound system, Lux package, etc… it would probably compete way too hard with the upper trims and kinda diminish the reason to jump to a Lariat in the first place lol.

The XLT is honestly the sweet spot trim for a ton of people already.

That build looks awesome! I'm totally down with a setup like that on an FX4. Yes, I think that would match that Raptor sort of look/feel.

The tech of the Lariat but they need to fix the colors. Blue dash with brown/black seats and black floors and electric blue flashes and red or green paint was all just too much clash.

Tremor toned the interior/exterior mismatch down a lot. I also think it rides better somehow.

🤑 How much did that run you? Like upper 40's right?
Low 30's it was a 2024 brand new left over. I got it in June 2025.
It was at my local dealer's parking lot from November 2024 to June 2025
I didn't need two cars, I drive a 2023 Ford Bronco Sport Badlands cyber orange color... but I knew it was a heck of a deal...

If you reordered your Maverick TODAY… what trim are you picking?
(SINCE SO MANY PEOPLE VOTED AND DISCCUSED ECOBOOST VS HYBRID I THOUGHT WHY NOT ASK THIS)

  • XL
  • XLT
  • Lariat
  • Tremor
  • Lobo

And did owning your current one change your opinion at all?

I feel like when these trucks first came out everyone thought one trim was clearly the “best” depending on budget/use, but after actually living with them for a few years now I feel like opinions changed a lot.

XL:
• cheapest/simple
• steelies honestly became part of the Maverick look at this point
• probably the best blank canvas
• but also missing a lot of stuff people later wish they had

XLT:
• feels like the trim most people ended up buying
• solid middle ground
• better looks/features without getting too crazy on price
• probably the “safest” choice overall

Lariat:
• definitely feels the most complete
• nicer interior/tech/features
• best daily driver?
• but the price climbs FAST

Tremor:
• one of the coolest looking trims Ford made honestly
• feels way more aggressive from factory
• some people love it
• other people think it’s overpriced and would rather build an FX4 themselves

Lobo:
• probably the most controversial Maverick now
• some people think it’s sick Ford finally made a street version
• others think lowering a truck completely defeats the point 😭

What’s funny is I feel like BEFORE ownership everyone shops based on price…

But AFTER ownership people care way more about:
• comfort
• looks
• daily driving
• practicality
• uniqueness
• whether the trim still feels worth the money later on

So if you could reorder today what trim are you going with?
Does this mean that you would stay with the same trim you have now?

I chose the Lariat for the options, however if the Tremor was available with 4k towing, my choice would probably change.

Short answer, FWD XLT. At this point Ford has stripped away a lot of features, massively increased the price and put HVAC stuff on the oversized screen, so I’d hesitate to get a newer Maverick if I didn’t need 4K towing and AWD. If I did XLT would still be the choice. Would still go with Lux package and go without the 360 co-pilot nanny stuff like I did in 2022.

XL: A little too bare bones for me, although it is likely the best value for the money given the build quality of the vehicle inside and out. At least with this trim the price increases have brought more features, not taken them away. That is not something you can say for the rest of the trims.

XLT/XLT with Lux package: Basic package with better wheels and features. For me, Lux package because I like the adjustments of the power seat, heated seat, wrapped and heated steering wheel, heated wiper park*, backseat arm rest with cup holders*, included bedliner, and sliding bed rails.

Lariat: To me just overpriced with fake plastic leather seats, which is a hard no for, since they get hot and sticky in summer and crazy cold in winter. Interior is otherwise the same cheap scratchy plastic. If it had more soft touch material, it might be worth it, but as is meh. Not into having a sunroof or rear sliding window. At least before MY25 there was some value in the improved infotainment system and keyless start, now that the XLT has those things, why bother? 19 inch wheels, meh, I like the XL/XLTs 17s with more rubber between me and the road, not to mention way more tire options down the road. At this price point still no power folding exterior mirrors, auto dimming rear view mirror or home link? I guess if you are one of the people who has to have the fancy DRLs for appearance sake the Lariat is for you?

Tremor: No interest or appeal at all not, just not an off road fanatic or overlander extremist. Only EB engine choice = hard no.

Lobo: Not into low riders, tuned vehicles and that kind of stuff. Talk about skin on a pig… the price. :ROFLMAO: Only EB engine choice = hard no.

* = no long available or not available for XLT

Interesting that the poll does not reflect sales as described by Ford. The XLT has long been the volume trim. But with increasing fleet sales and buyer financial strain, the XL trim has been gaining recently.

I should dial that back by noting that Ford does not release sales by trim that I've ever been able to find. They just "say things" in interviews. They've always said, like for decades, that the XLT trim is their volume seller. In recent earnings calls, they've talked about XL trims gaining ground.

Not surprising, most users of this forum are older retired people with more disposable income. Other Maverick groups are mostly young, or middle aged XL and XLT owners, like on Facebook and Reddit.

Ford may not release it, but last year one forum member pointed to data released by New York state’s DMV. XLT Maverick was ahead in registered owners by a fair margin. I think that gives us a good idea of what to expect overall.

You should also ask, what trim do you now have, then what trim you would have purchased!
My 1st new car i ordered was a 1980 Pontiac Phoenix.
It was like a 3 page form that you picked every single option. And very few were dependant on what other options you chose.
Such as sport suspension required a certain size tires and wheels.
I picked probably every option except power seat, sunroof, and aluminum wheels.
Then there were the packages! Oh boy.

I’ve owned 4 Mavericks, all Lariats as I wanted the added safety features that the others don’t have. Currently wife has a 24 lariat HPR hybrid. Mine is a 25 eruption green hybrid AWD 4k tow. Had a ecoboost AWD was great but wanted better mpg.
