no offense but it seems you had a great opportunity to move on from the Maverick but yet you replaced your Maverick with a new Maverick give It time the 2027 models will be out soon and you can upgrade then I hear although it won’t be a refresh the 2027 will address all the current issues and it will have absolutely no issues like all the other manufacturers have achieved personally I am keeping mine until the new body style comes out…
That is totally fair and had I had these problems with the 25 I likely wouldn't have bought another one however aside from a small clicking noise that went away it basically trouble free. And given how much I enjoyed the rest of it I decided to get another one. Granted I only put 8k miles on it so who knows what it would have done long term.

So lots of different ideas and thoughts and first off thanks for all the input. And second I think the plan of action I am going take is to try and get the dealer to fix the rattle if that works out then I will likely keep the mav and see how it fares ie if more rattles pop up just call it quits. If they can't then I will likely cut my loses as I agree that life is to short to be miserable. Overall I hope that I can remove the rattles from the mav as I really like so much about this truck but guess time will tell. As interested to see what the next few years bring to the market as if I had to take a guess I would say that I can likely remove most of the rattles short term but long term they are going to reappear so changing out sooner then later should likely be my plan. Not a prefect plan but I think it is the best I can do at the moment.

Well, is it has "It has gotten so bad that on some drives I have to pull over and calm down for a bit." save yourself the grief, frustration and sanity and sell it or trade it in instead of letting all that take a toll on yourself, life's too short to stay miserable. Consider a honda ridgeline, (imo it's interior quality is light years ahead of the maverick) or a Ranger, Canyon, Colorado, Frontier. Their mpg's won't be quite as good as the maverick but that's nothing compared to you be miserable and your well being.

So any thoughts?
Yeah....stop complaining about it and get rid of it - no one is holding a gun to your head forcing you to keep owning/driving it. Good luck with your next vehicle.

I guess? I know there isn't a gun to my head but losing money and not being super in love with the other options on the market make it imo a harder choice then just sell it. So I wanted to hear what other maverick owners thought in terms of could these problems be solved and or do they get worse. Didn't mean to come off as complaining.

Most did not see your post as complaining, more of advice seeking/Tired of this noise issue.
Now if you start another "what oil is best, What tire is best, I love amsoil" thread. I personally will troll you, send you a PM, and hire a parade of midgets to go to your house and smash grapefruits on your bum.

My 2023 Ford Explorer Timberline was a dud right out of the gate. Rattle in the front end that took the dealer a month to diagnose after replacing parts willy-dilly....ok, got it fixed and I drove it. Was disappointed in the lackluster fuel economy but I drove it. At 1 year mark, starts making clicking sound when you take off from a dead stop, brought in for service, dealer took two days and replaced a bunch of parts in the rear drive portion and I drove it. at 18 months in, I traded it in (took a beating too) but I came to the conclusion I got a dud and no one was holding a gun to my head to keep it, so I got rid of it. The experience did not sway me away from getting another Ford...I didn't come to a forum for advice. I dumped it and moved on to my now 2025 Maverick Lariat hybrid. This one has been great and I went to a different local dealer too and they have been great as well.

If you are not happy, get rid of it. You will always lose money on getting rid of a vehicle...what is your sanity worth?

So I recently got a 2026 ford maverick hybrid lariat and it is replacing a 2025 in the same spec that was totaled so I thought I knew what I was in for with mavs. You know the scuffy plastic and what not but this new mav has basically broken me. It started with a slight buzz in the drivers door then maybe a slight one in the b piler and then the dash and now I have theses buzzes all around it feels like and worst of all this is the sorta tapping rattle coming from the passenger side. I can't for the life of me seem to be able to track it down and worst of all it seems to go away and then come back so I really have no ideas.
Now one I think it is a pretty bad look for a truck that costs this much but beyond that I am hyper sensitive to noises and to be frank I don't want to drive it anymore and when I do I have to do things like blast music or roll the windows down to help(note it really doesn't solve it so please don't recommend doing this). It has gotten so bad that on some drives I have to pull over and calm down for a bit.

So with that background here is the problem I am not sure if I should:
A.Keep the truck and work on fixing these noises and rattles with a combo of sound deadening material and foam and tape.
B. Sell the truck and get something with a more solid interior that is less likely to make noises
C. something else I don't even know.

The problem I have with A is that I am not sure I can fix them or if more will appear. Can long term owners give their thoughts? Do the rattles and noises get worse because if so I think cutting my loses soon may be a option to strongly consider. However I don't love option b either because one it would mean losing money and 2 there is nothing else like the maverick and I honestly don't know what I would buy.

Overall I want to love this truck I really do as on paper it is almost prefect for my life and needs because it can get such great gas mileage while still being able to haul stuff for work and hobbies. But these noises and quailty issuses are making me start to wish I didn't buy this truck. So any thoughts? Anyone else go through something similar and if so what choice did you end up making? I also just want to add this here at the end I am not trying to bash this truck or anything I am simply looking for advice as to what I should do.
The only reason the Lariat trim exists is to print money. Who would have dreamt that a $20,000 truck, buil to be as cheap as possible, would then have $22,000 in additional added features, none of which change a single thing about the materials or build quality? You are getting vinyl seats, a laminated windshield, shiny wheels and some additional software. In a truck built specifically to be cheap. It makes no sense. It would be like having a luxury edition Geo Metro. Completely antithetical to the purpose of the vehicle.

We live in wild times. "My cheap truck is built cheaply." No shit.

Why are you so mad? Did I spend your money on this truck without knowing it? Also the lariat isn't 22k above comparable mavs. Like an optioned hybrid awd xlt is like 40k mrsp and once you add in tax you are within throwing distance of a lariat so I decided to upgrade. I didn't buy the lariat because I thought it was a luxury truck I bought it because to me the xl and lariat are the two mavs that make the most sense value wise. And laslty not all cars at this price range rattle so no it isn't a wild ask for my truck to do the same. Overall idk why some of yall replying this post are so fing angry and complaining that I am complaining like just don't read the thread, you aren't being attacked so just chill.

TLDR all these posts. If you ask me, my Dec. 2022 manufactured Mav. had a lot of interior squeaks, creeks and rattles. After about a year or 2 of heat cycles from the sun, they are all gone. The cabin is now normal. Only in the winter when it's well below freezing do I hear anything squeaking and that is the dash. It's not a lot either.

I'm not mad. I'm just not surprised at the $42k price point you aren't satisfied. For $29k the rattles might be part of the charm.

Apologies for coming off like I was attacking you. As you said, it's your money. Sounds like you would be happier with something a bit more refined, which is totally valid.
