I noticed that there's a slightly different feel to the steering if the lane keeping assist is on vs off. It seems to be a bit more settled with the assist off especially if you line to drive in a different spot that the assist prefers. I recommend turning it off just to see the difference. I keep mine on because I like the extra bit of nudge it gives if I drift.
The feeling I get is when lane keep is off. Thinks it’s just the steering feel of this truck compared to my Ram.

I would not accept that BS black screen answer. I find it hard to believe Ford or your dealer would say a NAV screen going blank as you’re driving along is “normal.”

Is it an easy thing to do?
Once you signed you're screwed, right?
Pretty much. The truck they bought belongs to the bank, unless they paid cash for it.
It’s not like you bought a TV at Costco, you just can’t return it. If it legitimately has issues they’ll need to be addressed by Ford through a dealer.

I doubt you will like the predictive speed control. It sets the limit to the road speed limit and causes slowdowns when you least expect it.

Interesting scenario. I think the dealer would be OK to put a nearly new Maverick on their lot. The dealer will probably be economically fine with any deal/penalty they would put out there.
however, not the best time to sell a seven year old Silverado which may still be on the lot…. Or dumped to an auction for a used car dealer to take.

Most wouldn't say that. If a screen goes blank, it's either a hardware, software, issue with the truck or an issue with the customer's phone if it only happens when the sync is connected. Either there was an error in communication, or the service personnel is an idiot.

We are going to return our 2026 XLT Maverick to Ford. The infotainment amongst other things are unfortunately god awful!
Half to time the infotainment screen crashes and goes blank, often at a critical time when we need sat nav! Ford says this is normal and to switch off the engine and open the door.
You look at the infotainment screen for a split second, and due to the too quick steering you are on the oncoming traffic lane.
When the infotainment is working the screens are impossible to navigate, and I’m very tech savvy!
When you do press a screen button you inadvertently hit the heated sears or another wrong screen button and this is on a perfectly flat road.
It’s often impossible to get to the nav screen half the time or the Spotify screen or any other screen.
Did I mention the steering is too fast, I have constantly correct it on a straight road,
My wife is in agreement to all this and doesn’t hardly touch the infotainment screen, she navigates from her phone.
I no loner have YouTube
How the hell does ford release this crap, and make the customer do all the bug testing. I would have been fired if I released crap like this!
I would welcome your feedback, thank you
Sorry you had a bad experience with your New Mav, you must have gotten a hangover Monday built unit. My 23 has had only one issue of all the complaints I have read posted to this group and it involved the flooded acid battery. I hope you can unwind your deal and get your old truck back if thats what you want. Good Luck.

I've been on this site for a few years and I believe the overwhelming majority like their Maverick. Sorry to see you don't. For me the issues with infotainment system you have would not be an issue but probably not a surprise for a 70 YO. The steering on the other hand I can't figure out. I've driven hundreds of cars in my life as well as raced a few. Two of my toys are classic British sports cars. I have found no issues with the Mavericks steering, nor did I have to get used to it. I have to wonder if your steering issue is really a tire issue. Anyway, I hope everything works out for you.

The best days for owning my Mav were picking it up from the dealership and driving it 750 miles home getting 30.4 mpg next best day was dumping it with 1,500 miles after countless low battery modes and the poor front door lock design easily locking myself out

For the record, 65 year old Medicare guy here (be careful with generalizations) who really likes his 24 hybrid Lariat. Big upgrade over my 2017 Frontier: gas mileage more than twice good, ride, steering and too many tech improvements to list. With Apple CarPlay and Spotify I can say any song ever, and bam it plays. Audio books. Nav systems. Adaptive cruise. Auto high beams. The only thing I’ve turned off is lane assist.

I have a friend who stated while driving a new car, "They moved my cheese." It's like a rat in a maze; when they change the buttons we are used to, it's like a rat having to relearn the path through the maze to get the cheese.

My Mav is great. I cannot imagine complaining about the oh so perfect neutral, responsive, accurate steering.
A test drive before you buy would have been wise.

I could tell there was going to be a problem just reading the thread title which contained the word "Silverado"....

As far as "returning" the truck, the dealer is under no obligation to take the truck back.

Most of what the OP stated seem to be issues that should be easily addressed.
Can't watch UTube? Seriously?

In any case, the only typical way to achieve a return for a new vehicle is via the lemon law and that is when multiple visits to the dealer is unable to resolve significant problems.
