I just did mine at 63K, old plugs looked good, but runs a little smoother with the new plugs.

The manual says every 100,000 miles (page 455) but I do them every 5,000 miles with the engine oil because I want my truck to last a long time.

Every 5,000 miles is wild. I don't know how many miles you drive a year so, maybe youre doing due to time. But 5k is wild.

I did mine at 40k.

I do the same thing as he does, but I also change my windshield with 5K spark plugs due to prolonged sun exposure and reflectivity loss.

I ran a set of Iridium plugs 167,000 miles once.
Changed them, felt no difference.
The old plugs looked fine.
2013 F-150 3.7Ltr.

I did them on my Focus ST (same engine essentially) at 50k miles and they looked fine, but also thought it ran just a little smoother after.

I'll be doing my 50k mile service on my Mav later this spring so I'll probably throw a set of plugs in along with everything else I'm doing. For ~$25 for a set of 4 on Rockauto (NGK Iridium), why not.

Oh yeah. No issues with Motorcraft either, just a bit more partial to NGK when it comes to plugs!

A wrench once told me NGK’s had better insulators.
