The image isn't mine I just saw it on the forum but I was questioning the accuracy of the display yesterday on my Mav after driving 28 miles and 14 of those showed as electric? I know I'm missing something, the Jeep E plug in gets about 20 miles on a charge, this isn't a plug in and it's getting more??

I can't say for sure if it's accurate cuz I don't have a hybrid, but you went 28 miles and got 14 on electric which is about 50% and if you look at his numbers he went 50 and got about 25 which is 50%. So at least as far as that goes it makes sense.

But I am also curious as to what the answer would be.

No. The Maverick battery is tiny relative to the 4xe and plug-in hybrids. It requires the engine to kick on to charge the battery or regenerate charge with braking.

I'm sure many here have gotten similar results but I'm also sure someone knows the true answer. Seek and you shall find, I'm seeking lol

Yes it's possible and you're looking at it. The battery will regen as you go and provide electric propulsion whenever possible. That includes pure battery power and electric assist to the ICE, which reduces fuel consumption. A fully charged HV battery will get you 1-2 miles before depleting enough to start the ICE engine.

Easy-peasy. Run out of gas 25 miles from a gas station and see if you make it,,,,,,,,

That being the case why doesn't the Jeep 4xE with a larger battery do the same, they're lucky if they squeeze 20-23 miles on the charge.I will say I've had my mav for about a month and haven't refueled yet lol

The hybrid battery is recharged some every time you brake or coast also when the ice is running sometimes.

When I'm driving slightly downhill, or a steep downhill, and sometimes on a level road, barley using the gas pedal it shows electric power. Often it shows the distance and how much was electric. Have not seen 50%, but some 35% to 40%.

Weight, aerodynamics and engine.

It's a shame the 4xe has turned out to be such a turd. It's a strong idea and if they'd pulled it off better, the phev Gladiator would probably be out by now. And then we'd be off to the p(ickup)hev races!
