Has anyone tried something like this?
Ford Maverick Waterproof Bag for the Bed? 1671145472126

Amazon says its 50x40x22, which should just about fill up the Mav's bed. Looking for something to keep suitcases dry on vacation. Its been a long time since I used a pickup for vacation and back then I was younger and better able to deal mentally with having waterlogged clothes at the end of a road trip.

I figure fill this with clothes and whatever else cant get wet and pile bikes, chairs and fishing rods on top.

$100 is better than a bed cover which I would only really want once in a while.

I was looking at that EXACT same one on Amazon this morning and came to the same conclusions about it being essentially the same dimensions as the Maverick bed (a few inches extra space around the perimeter). I think it's a good deal if you don't have a tonneau cover, and a good idea even if you do have a tonneau cover and have materials you need to ensure stay totally dry, since tonneau covers aren't ever 100% waterproof. Water resistant, sure. But water is going to find a way in the 4 corners of the tonneau at least a little bit and potentially get things wet on the bottom of the bed when the small amount of water rolls around in there.

It can also serve as a constraint to how much my wife and daughter can pack!

Without a cover, that looks like a good option. I don't have one so I can't comment on how it works.

I've used similar in hitch cargo baskets with no complaints. Can't comment on that one.

I've been considering how to make a bed cover, but 99% of the time I want it open, otherwise I would buy an SUV. For road trips however, you want something waterproof.

They sell waterproof "moving bags" on amazon. They are nowhere near as substantial. However, a pack of 6 is very cheap. They are huge. My kids and I used them for a whole ski season without incident.

I’m using these also. They work well under my tonneau to be sure everything stays dry. Last road trip had little rain. We will be heading out this coming week, with rain forecast for both outbound and return trips. We will see if we are still happy!

Just wanted to bump this thread to see if anyone else is using these truck bags for their Mavericks or the moving bags I see others have mentioned they sell on Amazon?

@paneubert also mentioned these might be good even for those of use who have to tonneau cover (which I do) as even then some water will still find it's way into the bed. I am looking at the two options below:

https://www.amazon.com/AlltoAuto-Tr...automotive,121&sr=1-4&xpid=sHgxucpSfaC_h&th=1

This first option says it's 22" high and 26 CU FT overall and the height of the Maverick bed with a tonneau cover on is about 20" but this bag should still work as I'll just be limited to 20" of height due to the tonneau cover.

This second bag from the same manufacturer is actually a rooftop cargo carrier and is listed as 18" high but I'm sure it could still be used as a truck bag that would go inside the box of the Maverick. At 18" it will also fit under the tonneau cover:

https://www.amazon.com/Car-Rooftop-...sprefix=roof+bag+21+cu+ft,aps,109&sr=8-5&th=1

Just wondering if anyone is using these or anything like these and if so what are you thoughts on them?

And, we are still happy. These have worked very well for what little gets in around the tonneau cover.

I have gone thru a 2022, a 2023, and now have a 2025 Mav. Have had a toneau cover on all 3, but have also used a bag like those occasionally. What I have used 100% of the time though is a smaller waterproof duffel bag to store my emergency supplies. I have this one strapped against the back wall of the bed.

Has all my tire changing things, shovel, recovery ropes, shackles, etc....

Thanks for the reply. I guess my interest in an actual bed bag is that it's large enough that I can put a few pieces of luggage in there and whatever we need and zip all of it up in there and keep it nice and try.

You never know what the weather is going to do and I'd rather be over protected if we are caught in some sort of heavy rain event while traveling in the Maverick. The moving bags look like a nice option too but I want something that will keep our luggage protected too.

So do you happen to have one of these big truck bed bags then? If so, do you happen to know which brand and what size? I'm very interested in using one of these truck bed bags for our Maverick even though we have a tonneau cover too. I know it's overkill but I want to be able to be able to enclose our luggage in it when we travel so whatever the weather decides to do we're covered. Shouldn't be too bad to slide the truck bed bag in and out of the Maverick bed when loading and unloading it even with the tonneau cover on.

I get that. We used duffel bags mostly anyway, so now we just pack in these.
