Gun laws differ from state to state here in the USA. But if a dash cam records you with a gun in your hand - you (or better yet your lawyer) may have some explaining to do!

Well aware of the laws and my responsibilities. If I ever had to use it, it would be defending my wife by keeping her safe from a threat. I am a range rat and am very comfortable with the weapon in my hand. I welcome any and all cameras from every conceivable angle. I also play cards with several Leo’s and routinely discuss events and scenarios. Very cautious and deliberate by nature. But the risk holding a firearm are undeniable.

This was my thought. Maybe Hyatt's vehicle has this recorded. Did you call Hyatt and report this? That driver needs to be off the road ASAP. It's not about you anymore, but about the future drivers that might get killed.

I swear the guy intentionally got next to us to see if we had a camera then slowed down got on our ass then forced us into the cones. Point is we have no proof. That why we ordered camera. I would go starit to the police not the hotel because the guy coulf find out who we are and blow up our house. Thats how insane he acted.

A driver for the Hyatt tried to ram us and the continued to try and force us off the road. My wife was driving and understandably shook. We need a camera now and have no technical ability. Please help by providing someone for us. We have no proof that this guy tried to harm us but don’t want to be on this situation again.

We've had dash cams in our cars for going on 10 years now. Have had several from Whisler to a WalMart cheapie we had to pick up when one failed on a trip to Idaho to the high mid priced Cobras we now have with both front and rear views. In one situation even a front only cam saved us a bunch of hassle from the at fault driver's insurance company simply at the mention of the camera video available showing how hard his client hit our car.

I've had both the suction cup and stick on, which these are. I prefer the stick on because I have no need to remove the base and in the summer the cups tend to release when they get hot, allowing the camera to fall.

I used an Aukey brand dash cam as a temp solution until I got a permanent install--not on my Maverick though. The Aukey has a stick on pad or suction cup mount and a usb or 12V plug in. They are fairly inexpensive < $50 and offer a decent picture. With a usb port in the rear seat, one can put one in the rear window with ease.

People are nuts. The sense of accountability is non existent these days. I keep my KSG in the rear floor board covered up with a jacket. 12 x 3" shells rotated buckshot/slug. Or can hold 14 x 2 & 3/4" shells or 22 x 1" mini shells.
If I unknowingly piss some one off, Ill pull over in attempt to let you get down the road. If you pull over with me or circle around... You just drew the short straw. Better to be alive in jail (potentially) than to be dead. Ill get out at some point.

I have been watching for a dash cam for my too ... as far as I can say, from my research, the best dash cam this days it's the VIOFO A329S 3-Channel (Front: F1.8 Aperture, FOV=140°; Rear: F1.8 Aperture, FOV=160°; Interior: F2.2 Aperture, FOV=210° - 4K 30fps + 2K 30fps + 2K 30fps)

I have had the ROVE R3 since November 2024 and very happy with it. The camera unit that I have mounted to the rear view mirror with a dash cam mounting kit has the front and cabin cameras and It has a 3rd camera that I have on the back window on the inside just above the head rest of the rear passenger seat and plenty of room so that the sliding rear window does not hit it. I have been very pleased with this camera. I hope this helps.
