I saw recently that Form recently release their new headlights and taillights. That got me thinking about picking up some oem Lariat BAP Headlights.

Upon doing some research on ebay, I found aftermarket Lariat BAP Headlights for way to cheap. Does anyone have experience with them? There are a bunch posted on ebay.

The seller in your first link says they fit “2022-2026” and they absolutely will not fit 2025-2026, so that’s a bit sketchy…

I have one rule of thumb when it comes to FleaBay. BUYER BEWARE!.

Don't ever count on FleaBay customer service to come to your aid in any dispute with a seller. They side with the person who fattens their coffers with sales fees, not the occasional buyer. Don't ask me how I know this.

I buy and sell on eBay often.
Issues are more rare than buying from Amazon.

And as anything in life, if it sounds too good to be true...

I have the second set with projectors and based off my experience with them, I wouldn't recommend them. I have a set of the Form Lighting headlights ordered to replace them and I'm not even sure I'll try and resell these to get some of my money back.

They put out a lot of light, way more than stock. But when I aim them properly every bump I hit looks like I'm flashing my brights, if I come over a hill it looks like I have my brights on to anyone on the other side. So every night on my way to work every hill I go over, railroad tracks I cross, bump or dip in the pavement, sometimes just taking off from a stoplights would lead to every oncoming car flashing their brights at me, like sometime it would be 10 or 15 cars flashing their brights at the same time. So to remedy that I kept aiming them down until I wasn't getting flashed. So now instead of the standard 2" drop at 20' I have a 5" drop at 20' and the beam cutoff hits the ground probably 100 foot in front of the truck.

I've had the opposite experience, I won't sell on ebay because they will always side with the buyer.

Gotta check up on what you want to buy, watch some youtube reviews, see if that product is on amazon and read the reviews there, etc.

Usually I won't buy something off ebay unless it has free 30 day returns, and then you at least have a month to see if it lasts with no hassle on return.

If whatever chinese trinket you bought breaks 8 months later, well youre out of luck if you think crying to ebay will work, but thats just part of the game.

I've usually heard the opposite from eBay sellers that they're more likely to side with the buyers to the point it means the seller eating return shipping, repaying listing/sales fees, or being on the receiving end of some return scam.

Even then I usually go through PayPal which is also (in)famously buyer-oriented when it comes to disputes.

I have purchased from Ebay many times going back to the days when it was an auction only site. Only had an issue once. 2024 I ordered some holiday glasses that my girlfriend had been looking to buy for 8 years. She during grief sold off her set in an estate sale and didn't even know it at the time. I found then on Ebay, set of 8. When they arrived 1 was broken and it was in the middle of the box so not on the bottom and a result of a drop. Based on how tightly the bubble wrap and tape was on the surviving 7 I think it was a weak glass and pressure caused it. I contacted the seller and since these are vintage a replacement was not available but they offered to refund the entire cost. I said no, thank you for the offer, how about 1/8 of the cost which they agreed to. I have bought many used items and they have always been as described. New items never had issues.

Well, I have never tried pulling that stunt. I think I've been around long enough to know better than that.

However, when a seller advertises a tool and claiming in the post that ANY USB-C cable will work to charge the tool IF one uses a 12V PD rated wall wart feeding the USB -C cable. Pretty clear and specific. Then, one finds out from the manufacturer of the tool that is NOT the case. Must use the proprietary charger and cable for the tool and sorry that is not sold separately, must buy the tool again.

Ebay refuses any intervention for false advertising when it is more than obvious.

Yep, buying stuff is annoying these days, most things you better know more than the sales guys otherwise they're gonna try and blow smoke up your butt.

I'm curious what this thing you bought that uses an off-spec typec voltage is.

I just bought something today on Ebay. It a 1998 model tool and if it breaks I know going in that is on ME not the seller. But when you want a tool no longer made you roll the dice and have to decide if the price is worth the risk. $27? Won't bankrupt me if it doesn't work.
