Neither of these recalls are automatic. They're done only if there's a problem. So they remain open. If a recall has an N in it (such as 25N09) , it's done only if it's needed. And it's usually just an extension of the normal warranty. If the vehicle is not exhibiting the condition described, it's not done but remains open for the duration of the time noted in the recall. Technically it's known as a customer satisfaction action . If a recall has an S , E, or C in it, then it's ALWAYS done whether it's an inspection, parts replacement, or software update such as 25S02 which called for battery replacement on certain Ecoboost equipped Mavericks and Bronco Sport . So if your axles go bad before 150,000 miles or 10 years . I hope this helpedI asked my dealer to have front halfshaft and driver side seat buckle replacements while doing oil change yesterday. But when I pick up my truck, I only saw the invoice of oil changed without mentioning any of the CSP service items. And those two notices are still open in my Ford App. I asked them and was told that they checked and thought they were fine but kept the items open so I could get service again if I had issue in the future.
I got a feeling they didn't do the work and were just bulls**ting me. What's your experience? How do you guys think?
