I think it is the perfect size and has great power. Within 50 miles the clicking in passenger side dash/glass area started. Then on any kind of bumps the dash sounds like something from the 80's definitely not the quality of 40K. I bought the wrong vehicle for someone with bad aversion to clicks and rattles. Wind noise is ridiculous. I'm coming from a fairly new Honda Ridgeline. I love how the Maverick looks and the size and MPG. I knew it was a downgrade with the plastic interior but didn't expect all the crappy sounds. Oh several scars on the dash right from the factory and couldn't see them in bright sunlight now can't stop seeing them. This interior is a $12000 90's Kia Rio looks better but scars too easy. This would be a good $20000 buy. Lariat with XL interior but I knew that going in. You can dress up a pig. Oh and why do my windows all look sand lasted or pitted and water stand. Windshield glitters in sunlight at right angle. Back window has weird spots like maybe water stains. Always garaged. 650 miles of regret.
Our only complaint is the poor charging and rapid discharging that Ford keeps promising to fix. The click/rattle on the right dash side is easily fixed by a small piece of thin rubber pushed into crack. Noise gone. The interior in our 2023 Lariat is fine. None of the "scratches" people on here complain about. Makes me wonder if you have dogs scratching or kids kicking? Not sure what you are talking about the glass being "sand blasted" and "pitted". Has you ever cleaned the windows with Invisible Glass spray cleaner? Makes them crystal clear.

The plusses on the Maverick is that it far, and away, exceeds the EPA estimated MPG, especially local trips. It has an extraordinarily great B&O audio system rivalling the Bose in our previous Cadillac DTS. With the SoundScreen acoustic windshield glass it is an extremely quiet ride. There is no wind noise whatsoever in the vehicle at 80 mph on the freeway. Adaptive cruise control works like magic on 300 mile drives at 80 mph to upstate Utah on I-15 along with lane keeping.

Other than the fear of the discharging of the battery which occurs too rapidly (they should be able to tell a vehicle to basically be off except for tiny amount of system monitoring), we are more than pleased with the Maverick.

Sounds like you won't be ever satisfied with your choice. Perhaps it's time to call Carvana?

I'm not turning this post into a political rant, but since cost was mentioned multiple times in this post, I present the following that directly affected our pocketbooks from the '25 models forward.

Key Details on Ford's Tariffs

  • Rate: A baseline 25% tariff applies to imported passenger vehicles and light trucks.
  • Affected Models: The primary Ford models impacted include the Maverick, Mustang Mach-E, and Bronco Sport, all of which are produced in Mexican plants (such as Cuautitlán and Hermosillo).
  • Compliance Matters: Under the USMCA, vehicles must meet strict "Rules of Origin" (requiring 75% of components to be North American) to qualify for exemptions. However, even for compliant vehicles, current policies have applied a 25% duty on the portion of the vehicle's value that is not made of U.S. or USMCA-compliant content.
Thank you for this reply. I guess I should be happy if this is the cost of change.

Here we go again with the "you won't ever be satisfied" reply... You are deaf if you have zero wind noise at 80 mph. Maybe you are used to driving worse vehicles. My daughter's drives a 15 y/o Altima with Bose and the B/O couldn't come close not that I dislike it but not even close. I drove 40,000 miles a year for work so have millions of miles behind the wheel of many new SUV and the B/O sounds about as good as most of their baseline stereos. I didn't complain about the radio though.

The windshield is not pitted it looks like fiberglass sparkles in direct sun.

The clicking is not what your saying and I can confirm there is now felt in that area from the factory.

My 24 Lariat is rattle-free at 15k miles, only my stuff rattles.
It’s a stiff suspension, not my old Benz ultra-cushy air suspension lol.
Claim a lemon-law there are consumer protections if they can’t fix your issues.
In the old days (way before the internet) folks would crash defective cars through showroom windows to get attention but don’t do that lol.

All relative. Compared to my 2017 Nissan Frontier, the Maverick ride is really quiet. No rattles. Gas mileage two times better, and more in the summer. The much-posted-about battery messages are new, but relatively simple to monitor.

Nw that you said “Fiberglass sparkles”…. I had a nice drying towel, or so I thought. But it left fine hair like strands all over the truck. Only visible in sunlight. Could it be? I started using a 12V Milwaukee blower to dry, and no more fiberglass like stuff on the truck or windows.

I have a 2025 AWD Hybrid with now 7500 miles on and I never experienced any issue with, it in fact every time I drive it I notice how quiet it it. I love it.

To no one in particular;

One thing that we can aways count on, in this forum, is that people are going to Bitch.
They bitch about their Maverick or Ford or the dealership.
They bitch about the price they paid.
They bitch about people bitching and that causes the original bitcher to bitch back about other people’s lack of empathy to their bitching.

Waa waa. I got sand in my hoohaa. Please tell me how sorry that makes you feel for me because the last thing I want is for you to tell me the solution to the problem.

Here’s a unique concept. Try this for a forum topic:

I used a blue fuzzy so called lint free then a yellow fuzzy then tried a rubber maid microfiber. I noticed none of these glide on these windows. I figured any left over fuzz would blow off on the highway. Going to spray at carwash then spot free spray no towel and will let you know. I think the cleaner we have used for years is spray away glass cleaner with blue lid.
