Our only complaint is the poor charging and rapid discharging that Ford keeps promising to fix. The click/rattle on the right dash side is easily fixed by a small piece of thin rubber pushed into crack. Noise gone. The interior in our 2023 Lariat is fine. None of the "scratches" people on here complain about. Makes me wonder if you have dogs scratching or kids kicking? Not sure what you are talking about the glass being "sand blasted" and "pitted". Has you ever cleaned the windows with Invisible Glass spray cleaner? Makes them crystal clear.I think it is the perfect size and has great power. Within 50 miles the clicking in passenger side dash/glass area started. Then on any kind of bumps the dash sounds like something from the 80's definitely not the quality of 40K. I bought the wrong vehicle for someone with bad aversion to clicks and rattles. Wind noise is ridiculous. I'm coming from a fairly new Honda Ridgeline. I love how the Maverick looks and the size and MPG. I knew it was a downgrade with the plastic interior but didn't expect all the crappy sounds. Oh several scars on the dash right from the factory and couldn't see them in bright sunlight now can't stop seeing them. This interior is a $12000 90's Kia Rio looks better but scars too easy. This would be a good $20000 buy. Lariat with XL interior but I knew that going in. You can dress up a pig. Oh and why do my windows all look sand lasted or pitted and water stand. Windshield glitters in sunlight at right angle. Back window has weird spots like maybe water stains. Always garaged. 650 miles of regret.
The plusses on the Maverick is that it far, and away, exceeds the EPA estimated MPG, especially local trips. It has an extraordinarily great B&O audio system rivalling the Bose in our previous Cadillac DTS. With the SoundScreen acoustic windshield glass it is an extremely quiet ride. There is no wind noise whatsoever in the vehicle at 80 mph on the freeway. Adaptive cruise control works like magic on 300 mile drives at 80 mph to upstate Utah on I-15 along with lane keeping.
Other than the fear of the discharging of the battery which occurs too rapidly (they should be able to tell a vehicle to basically be off except for tiny amount of system monitoring), we are more than pleased with the Maverick.
Sounds like you won't be ever satisfied with your choice. Perhaps it's time to call Carvana?
