Mine clicks. It annoys me but not enough to fix it yet. I just turn up the B&O.

I have 13k miles. The front suspension is going to start to rattle more, everything loosening up. She's not new anymore so maybe I'll never fix the clicking.

Take it to the dealer, contact Ford zone rep, fight like hell
I'm afraid they will make it worse to be honest. I get sick of arguing with dealers. I bought a new 2015 Dodge Grand Caravan that smelled like burning oil every time I sat at a stop light. Had it to the dealer multiple times. Always got the "no one else has complained" even though people were waiting with me with the same smells and radio issues. I sold it 6 months into it.

My Honda Ridgeline great interior but all the hype about Honda and I found so many panels not snapped in like around the sunroof and the trim under the bumpers. Had a huge gash in the rear of the center console I missed new off the lot. Dealer was saying they didn't know if I did it even though it had about 45 miles on it when I brought it in. It had no dash noises or clicking but more wind noise than you would expect but less than this Lariat.

Yes I turn it up to 8 and still hear that clicking. It's like a plastic strip blowing and rattling on the windshield kinda high pitched. I can deal with the rattles over road bumps. But my wife is with me usually so radio is down.

$40 plus grand isn't a cheap vehicle for the average retired dude or even middle class. Quit making excuses for manufacturing going backwards.

If the metal and paint get any weaker/thinner it will dent and the paint will come off after a year of washing.

First week we had a snow storm and I was surprised with all the snow not to mention salt packed in the wheel wells and every crevice must of been hundred pounds worth. Sorry I didn't inspect for gaping holes underneath but thought that was figured out after the Model A.
We aren't making excuses, some of us did our homework and decided the issues were fixable, or at least livable. It IS a cheaper automobile unless you add all the creature comforts and upgrades via trim packages etc.

Hopefully it gets worked out.

I skipped the sunroof and back window and black appearance.

I have manual car washed the windshield and cleaned it with alcohol and glass cleaner but in the sun it looks like it was peppered with sand. I can't figure it out.

Have you tried a Magic Eraser? Could it be tough tree sap? can you feel an indent with your fingernail?

My $25K 2024 Corolla Hatch & my $35k 2019 GMC Canyon both had much nicer & more solid interiors than my $39K Maverick.

But my Maverick interior has really grown on me:) Shimmed the obnoxious dash rattle yay.

The Maverick is roomier & easier to enter/exit than my previous rides - and much quicker too.

I find the seats very comfy - hopefully the OP doesn’t have pre-existing back problems!

I certainly agree with the OP on how good looking the exterior is:)
Well I have had back surgeries 😂 but I like the seat a lot or never would have bought.

Haven't tried magic eraser as it is a very mild sand paper. No indents felt. Was thinking maybe clay bar? I do have magic erasers. Looks like paint spray but figured what I tried would get it

The rear window looks like those hard water spots my wife's car gets if I run sprinkler and it hits it. Would think it would have came off with alcohol or glass cleaner.

Suede dash mat, $25. I bought a black one, eliminated all windshield glare, and don't have to look at a dash that could be scratched.

BTW, in 2026, post five years of sustained inflation, $40K isn't $40K any longer. Faster people recalibrate expectations, the easier it'll be for them five years from now when $50K is the new $40K.

At the setting of 8, I cannot hear myself think! (yes, I do have a 25 Maverick). I am surprise you can hear other sounds at volume setting 8!

If it sounds like clicking, it's the windshield alignment pins. If it sounds like tapping, it's the windshield defroster vent on the driver side. If it's clicking but from the back, it's the headliner rubbing against against the rear glass.

Welcome to your Built Ford Rough vehicle.
