The dealer’s been fine. The repair orders show heavy guidance from the Ford tech line, so they aren’t trying to blindly fix it. But dang, the whole power unit between the front wheels has been replaced by this point (except for the axles, of course). :)
I would see if Ford would swap it for a 2025/2026 for 60-70% off. Maybe 50?

I understand your frustration having had multiple repairs to a then new 2023 Explorer Timberline. The service department relied heavily on Ford Tech too...in the end, I got rid of it as no one was holding a gun to my head to keep it.

Just to recap, here's what's gone wrong with our 2022 Hybrid XLT in just the last ten months:

Codes P0811, P0E71, and PL920 at 41425 miles. Power loss on the highway, CEL on, limp to dealer on electric motor, damper clutch and flywheel replaced.

At 41725 miles, code P1061, CEL and Service Engine warning come up, limp to dealer on electric motor, got replacement engine.

At 49174 miles, code P1061, CEL and Service Engine warning lights, limp 20 miles to dealer on electric motor, new "trans" installed and damper clutch replaced again.

Now at 51k miles, waiting for codes to be read, but CEL and Service Engine warning lights illuminated with limp down highway to out of state dealer. Was unable to get loaner on a Saturday, messed up trip, blah blah blah.

Wife says dump it. I hate giving up a paid off vehicle before the factory warranty has even run out, but even I don't trust it anymore.
That's one of the biggest problems with buying a first and second year product. Ford is basically using their customers to work out the kinks so the newer models don't have many major issues.
Had the same problem with my 2002 Dodge Ram. First year of new model, 36 problems in 11 months. Lemon laws in Canada don't apply so went the legal route and won easily.

Good luck with your next vehicle!

Seems like your particular vehicle is a problem vehicle. The problems you're having are VERY unusual. How much warranty do you have left. If you still have a good bit left, perhaps keep driving it to see if the run of bad luck is over. If not , see what the dealer will give on a trade. Even if you get another Maverick, I doubt if you'll have any significant issues. I think your particular vehicle had problems because it got several marginal parts when it was manufactured
Don't do a dealer trade in. They will make thousands off you. Further adding to your loss. Sell on your own and buy a new vehicle without trading anything in.

Get your dealer to show you that they have a tech trained to work on hybrids and EVs. Many dealers don't have people certified to work on these vehicles. That is why they are heavily dependent on Ford tech.

See what Carvana will offer.
We traded in our 2022 Mav hybrid late last year to Carvana since we had a new 2025 on order. They paid us more than we bought the truck for. Needless to say we were happy.

My 2024 Ecoboost has been flawless so far.
The several 2025 Hybrid owners I talk to have not had a single problem.
We have a '25 Mav hybrid that we took delivery of in early April. Only about 5K miles so far but it has been flawless. No battery issues, yet, and the only thing I did was immediately pull fuse 11. I realize the underseat battery will go eventually since hybrids draw them down quicker than ICE vehicles, but that is what I have a jumper pack for. At least it will get me to the point that I can replace the battery either under warranty or out of warranty.

Should a 2025 vehicle have any issue with it?
A 2025 Maverick hybrid should have all the updates and all the recalls. as well as any part changes that failed under the first series run 2022-2024

I hope this is not my Hybrids future as so far mine has been near flawless. I've only had the mysterious sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't interior lights and passenger door touch unlock issues that are battery related. I only have about 15k on my 23 and other than the the recall stuff, no issues here other that stated.

I'm curious why you kept getting the impression it "limped to dealer on electric motor".

If anything, it was the opposite.
You probably limped to dealer WITHOUT the electric motor assisting.
The truck can travel only 2 to 3 miles without the gasoline engine running.

Truck would feel very sluggish on gas engine power only. Truck would be fairly zippy at low speeds with electric power only.

Just asking why you thought it was electric motor only. That only happens when you run out of gas.

What he said.
"Some vehicles are just lemons unfortunately. Dump it and move on from the frustration"

I had a 2018 Explorer. It had the water pump built into the engine. No more just bolt on a new one -- pull the engine and rebuild. Costs like $3k to fix. There was a class action lawsuit over it. Judge in Detroit said it's not a lemon, just poor engineering!
