Bcoz it looks so bad with the interior color. Ford had some spart paint and decided to fool around a bit.

what, noone's going to wax nostalgic about the bubble gum pink escorts & rangers of the late 80s? or the similar lavender?

:ROFLMAO:

anyway, while's normally prefer blue, I would have gone fror4 eruption green instead. But my wife, normally a green person, chose the metallic blue, and it was for her.

I think it's replaced by a one year only orange fury metallic
uhm, no.

just, no.

just say no to orange furries!
😱

When I first heard the name, Eruption Green, I thought of puke. Keep the color, change the name.
as compared to GM's new metallic green: just keep whatever name they call it, but change the color from Dirty Diaper Green!

The word Maverick, and Grampa don't belong together. we are "wild, and crazy " guys (even though a lot of us are grampas)
just ask our grandkids!

I'm sure there will be an Eruption Green when the Gen 2 debuts in 2028, or shortly after.

Just put a deposit down on an Eruption Green yesterday. It's on the rails on it's way to the dealer. I was going to wait until 2026 model year but i really like the green plus my 2014 Accord hybrid is rusting away underneath and now is the time to sell it.

Ford really manages to piss me off with this crap! I ordered my 2023 XL in Area 51. It didn't get picked up to build for 2023 so slid to 2024 and guess what? No more area 51. Jagoffs!!! Eruption green was the best color in 2025 IMO. so now it's gone. Not everyone wants white or silver fer crying out loud! I do have a 2017 Jeep renegade in hyper green, which was a 2 year color for Jeep. Just as a side note, next time you are out and about, take note of how many vehicles you see are white SUVs. You might be surprised...LOL

EG will most likely come back. It was popular. Just like Kona Blue, Grabber blue etc. On the Mustang. They go a couple years, then bring the good colors back.

Wow, yep that brings back memories. My 2011 Mustang GT was Kona Blue with white stripes from the factory. The color would change some depending on the light. It always drew a crowd and positive comments on the color at the local car shows and even grocery store parking lots. Wish I still had that car, had so much fun

Wish we had selections today like in 1970.

My college girl friend got the yellow on a Comet in 1973. It had a leatherlike vinyl top in brown, and had a 302 engine. It was a very nice car.

I am sorry I missed the hot pepper red of 2024. Maybe that will come back in a few years when I consider a new Mav.

I saw '70's Maverick / Comet for sale a couple weeks ago on the internet in a blue that has to be close to my Maverick. Looked pristine for only $22,000. If I had a third garage bay, I would try to buy it.

It was always to be a one year only color. They stated it from the very first day it was offered. I personally think manufacturers need to offer more vibrant colors like it. In the 1970's and earlier, they offered more vibrant color choices. Then they gradually got rid of the fun colors and went drab
You may have seen the factory purple Rivian that’s been on the car blogs recently?
