Eruption green is available on other Ford's so it isn't 'going away"...just a one year only option on Maverick.

I saw '70's Maverick / Comet for sale a couple weeks ago on the internet in a blue that has to be close to my Maverick. Looked pristine for only $22,000. If I had a third garage bay, I would try to buy it.
Like the Pinto, the Maverick was considered by many (most?) to be kind of a piece of crap in the 70's so wouldn't that car still be one today? $22K, wow. I have friend who bought one back then because it was cheap. He knew it was made as cheaply as was humanly possible at the time but it got him around for a couple years so no harm, no foul.

You really don't like making friends on here do you. Since MANY MANY threads about the New colors for 2026 and the fact that many many replies to this thread state it was ALWAYS a 2025 color only. Is it in the title? NO Did you read the the thread? Likely not.
You ordered an EG 2025 hence if it is discontinued it would be for 2026!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
again I ask, where does the OP INFER that he meant 2026? I DID NOT ORDER the truck, I bought it off the lot.

Turns out, conflict junkies really are addicted.

mavstangva just thinks he knows everything, there is not a post on this forum that he doesn't offer an opinion or comment , most of them derogatory if their doing something or using something he doesn't like.

Truth be told, the maverick of the 1970s had a good reputation as a solid, dependable, no frills vehicle. That's why Ford was willing to reuse the name. Even the pinto was considered a decent vehicle until the gas tank issue.

Not among the people I knew. And by the early to mid 70s with smog pumps, ugly 5 mph bumpers, etc, US cars in general hit one of the lowest points in their evolution. I can't think of a single car from that era that I would care to own, not even in showroom condition.

Mainly due to foreign competition (Japan) we've come light years since then. If it wasn't for that, we might still be driving some of the worst crap on the road. I'm concerned with tariffs and this push for 'US production only' goods, how quality and/or affordability will suffer. History has shown us that without good competition it's mostly downhill for consumers.

Remember, I'm comparing it to other vehicles of its day. The four cylinder engine was virtually bulletproof. They used it in some form until around 2,000 or so. They had the bulletproof York compressor if they had AC. The transmissions lasted about as long as the transmissions did in any other '70s era vehicle. Most did not have power steering. And they had the tried and true upper and lower control arm type suspension. A smaller version of that used in their full size cars. Were they great? No. But nothing was back then. As for the huge bumpers, everything had those gargantuan bumpers starting in 1974. Were they fast? Of course not. But neither were any of the imports. When you hear pinto. The main comment you hear is the gas tank problem. When you mention other small vehicles such as the Chevy Vega, you here rust bucket and mosquito fogger. You saw pintos still on the road long after the vast majority of Vegas had disappeared

Most Ford 4 cyls were great up until the belt in oil BS. Except possibly the HSC, damn things wouldn't just die so you could replace it with a V6 that had get out of it's own way power with barely a ding to gas mileage
