My 2025 Mav has terrible hood alignment with the body. The hinge alignment at the rear of the hood are well below the fenders. See below. It's worse on the driver's side but still low on the passenger side. I want to raise the hinges on both sides to properly align the hood to the fender. It looks like I can loosen the two bolts which hold the hinge to the body, raise the hinge, then tighten them back down. I'm assuming the bolts or the backing nuts are slotted so this can be done. They can be reached by opening the door. Has anyone else tried this? Does anyone else have this problem?

You might want to check a bunch of random Mav's around - like walk the dealer lot.

Seems to be purposeful - not a mismatched drop - but a drop.

It's a new truck. Why not see if the dealer will correct this? (I think I know: don't want dealer to mess it up, no time to mess with dealer, etc).

Could this possibly be the way Ford solved the hood flutter problem that the early Mavericks had?

Mine is slightly dropped on both sides but I did install struts. I thought that was why. It's not too bad so I haven't tried to adjust them. Maybe they are all like that from the factory but I'm not sure about mine because I really didn't pay too much attention prior to the strut install.

I’ve watched a couple YouTube vids of folks installing hydraulic hood struts on their Mavericks. They had to loosen/remove the alignment bolts & realign after install. Seemed pretty straightforward to realign. Just make sure your hood release functions properly before final torque down.

Or you can have your dealer realign when you bring it in for an oil change etc. They probably have a beefy tech who knows how to bend it back into spec:)

It caught my attention after the 1st rain, and the puddles just sitting in the recess area, then I saw that drop of the hood.
Next visit to dealer I looked at others (all 24MY at that point), and all had the drop.

But if that easy to move up - perhaps that would allow the water not to puddle when sitting level.
Or more importantly - in my slanted driveway with nose down where it still puddles.

The hood is pretty light. I learned that when installing the struts which was an easy project. There were no alignment problems with the fenders. They are as straight as an arrow. They are just a tad low in the back corners. I have thought about putting a couple of washers between the hood and the hinges to shim it up some and that’s what I would do before messing around with the hinge bolts in the fender. That could open up a bunch of alignment frustration.

My 2025 Lariat is the same but only on the driver side.
I am planning on using a plastic pry bar to access the bolts through the faux vent.

My 22 Lariat is also just on the drivers side.
