Probably not good from the money side of things, but if you really want the eco-boost then do it. No reason not to be happy with the current vehicle you have if losing a little bit of money in the process is worth the different Maverick to you.

So, what is it that you don't like about your current Maverick?

Could you explain why you feel this way ? Are you going to do a lot of towing ? Are you tired of not being able to smack your head against the head rest when accelerating ?
You must have a reason - I'm very curious.

Hybrid and Ecoboost have VERY similar 0-30 times, Eco just pulls ahead at the top end. Butt dyno should be very similar outside of a drag strip. I'd be hesitant to give up the eCVT for the 8-speed, but it's his life :)

Does your hybrid have the 4k tow package?

It's a good way to spend money. Terrible if you'll never tow anything, required if you want to tow something more the 2000 lbs. EB vs Hybrid is personal choice.
I assume that his current truck is not equipped with the 4k towing package. . Otherwise, it's not a necessity but simply a preference. Personally, unless I towed often, I'd get a Hybrid w 4k towing for the significantly better fuel economy when not towing.

WE hate to trade it but it was suppose to include 4k pkg for our retirement

Personally, I would list it and try to sell it before I did a trade in. You will get more money with a private offer than a trade in. Depending on milage and where you live, you could get close to what you paid for it. If I needed 4k that is where I would start.
