I am really considering the Sun Lite 14 THX. Has a 1400 lbs payload and still comes in below 4k.
Dry weight is 2380lbs, plenty of sleeping space (2 beds), small kitchen and tiny bathroom. Perfect to take either my TW200 or Africa Twin on my trips.

I just got back from an 800 mile camping trip from Maine to New Brunswick. I got 23 miles a gallon on my 25 all-wheel-drive hybrid With 12% electric. A lot of long grades that affected the mileage but I couldn’t be happier. I’ve taken that same trip in the past with my 18 Colorado four-wheel-drive four-cylinder, which never got more than 18.5 miles a gallon. My teardrop camper is 1200 pounds +100 pounds of gear. Absolutely no problem pulling it comfortably. There are many used bushwhacker campers for sale in the east in the $8000 or so range. Many were purchased during Covid, like mine, and now people want to go bigger. Mine has air conditioning, propane heat, and the rear opens up into a kitchen. Very comfortable for one person, but I wouldn’t want to use the camper for two people.

This is a great set up. If I would be single that is all I would need. But to make my wife happy we need at least a bathroom. Would be easily be able to us a portable shower tent for myself. 🀣

I'm 6'4" and can only stand up in the middle of those A frame trailers. Hell, I can't even fit the bed of the Maverick but a pop-up type camper ON the truck... queen sized mattress would be perfect.
You should get a Safari Condo Alto R1713 or R1723
Pricey, but sweet. All aluminum, lightweight, tall interior height (6' 10" peak), yet can fit in a standard garage. They hold their value very well.

Those Safari Condo Alto trailers are really cool, I wish they had a bigger presence in the US, only one dealer in the US. Compared to other higher end trailer options in those sizes, they are priced competitively, but high end trailers are pretty expensive! Solid aluminum roofs, great windows, great payload/cargo carrying capacity, great attention to towing and storage considerations. All their options are around 7 ft wide too +/-, which is way nicer to tow behind something like a Maverick. Always been impressed with them when you see the rare one out. This is the place that carries them https://www.fourcornersrv.com/services-4

We have a 2018 Coachman Clipper 107LS. Bought it used for ~$6k. It's a pop-up and has A/C, heat, sleeps 2 adults and 2 kids comfortably, has a cooktop and sink, but notably no bathroom or shower. It clocks in ~1,800lbs dry and we always go to campsites, so use shore power / water.

The hybrid mav tows it great and while you can tell its back there, it drives and stops fine. It's made summer and winter camping much more enjoyable from tent camping, though in the dead of summer without shade, the A/C just can't keep up and we usually make sure we're out doing stuff during that part of the day. It cools off just fine once the sun goes down. Heat has never been an issue and we've had nights in the 20's where we were nice and toasty.

I'd prefer to use campsite restroom and showers for the most part anyway unless you get up into the larger size hard-wall RV's. Tiny showers and dealing with blackwater sucks.

Last part I love: it fits in our garage, just back the mav up to it, hook up, and roll out.

For people who are seriously looking for one of these - join the Altoistes Marketplace group on Facebook. 90% of the used private party sales are through there.
I think the biggest negative of them is that they are not well insulated. That didn't stop us from finding a used F1743 to try though (we tow with our Sienna hybrid rated 3500 lbs - worked great to bring it home, got 20mpg at 55-60mph, haven't had a chance to camp in it yet).

What about 91/93? Do you switch from 87 and how long before towing? Lastly, how much do you goose the tongue weight up from 500 lbs (I think that's what it is)?
I always use 87 Octane.
Higher octane won't help a hybrid.
(unless by coincidence the more "premium" gas comes without ethanol, then it may help some)

However, it also may not.
Way back in 2010 I did a lot of testing with various ethanol blends. Higher ethanol content net slightly higher horsepower, but reduced MPG.

My tongue weight is usually in the 350 to 450 pound range. I did not change the factory installed hitch.

I really hope you buy one and report back! This thing seems to hit all the points of what I want. I would transport a small, 1100 lb track car on the inside. It would juuust fit.

Garage space is 10 feet 11 inches. What's your track car, an Isetta? πŸ˜‚
Rush SR1. Length is quoted as 131”, so right at the maximum garage capacity. I would remove the front clip to aid in getting up that steep back ramp and then stack it on top of the car. That would save about a foot of length right there. Everything will be very tight, but doable. I also like the trailer for trips just with my wife and no track days.

We tow a Rockwood 206ltd with my 2023 hybrid. I added a brake controller and had zero issues towing it 12 hours from NY to ME and back. We got about 28 mpg towing.

Assume your track car has an open top?
