Direct from my 24 window sticker:
8YR/100,000 HYBRID UNIQUE
-COMPONENTS IF EQUIPPED

So it sounds like more than just the HVB
probably the ecvt/battery/electric motors & whatever wiring excluding anything related to the ice.

In reality it's anything they can get away with NOT covering just like any other corporate entity.

Actually they mentioned the possibility of trading it in for a new one. I’m afraid that that means they think it really is dead! Not going to worry about it now until I can do something on the 23rd.
Hope they weren't referring to one of the stop-sale 25MY currently sitting on their lot.
Because they aren't communicating amongst themselves then.

I called Ford Customer relations/service line today about my 2022 Hybrid doing this, Yvett said ask the dealership if they will perform SSM53801 for free as my bumper to bumper is expired. But from reading this entire thread i think I will hold off and possibly just buy a new higher CCA AGM battery. I have been doing the shutdown every time before turning the key off and when it does go in deep sleep or Remote features unavailable i charge the battery for about 4-5 hours and do the battery reset procedure. If i do decide to get the SSM done down the road i will take the advice of an earlier post and call Ford Customer relations/service line and open a CASE so it's all free even though I'm out of warranty.

I think Ford realized AGM is the way to go. My '25 shipped with an AGM battery.

Hey i got lucky too, got a 25XL AWD Hybrid from a dealership that had ordered one for stock, exactly what i was going to order before the tariff monster f'ed everything up. I found out about the higher CCA AGM battery. I opened the 12v box when i was inspecting the vehicle while picking it up at the dealership. I am getting as good of MPG's with the AWD already even before break in. My wife is now the proud owner of my 22' Hybrid and she had used the AC quite a bit last week so i do think there's a connection. I'm educating her on the shutdown sequence and now i'll try to have her shut off the AC a couple miles before she shuts the truck off, maybe that will help?

What are you AC shut down procedures?
From the tests I have done, if the AC was running and you just turned off using the AC button, it will still know, and the AC will come on the next time you start the truck.
You will have the extended battery draw.
What I did was push the AC button to turn off the AC.
Make sure your not in AUTO mode.
Then turn the fan speed knob to a fan setting speed, then turn off the fan switch.
I have not tested if a temperature setting makes a difference yet.

Don't have an AC shutdown sequence but I will do your procedure, makes perfect sense, thanks John Deere.

Thank you for the reply.
Let me know if that helps.
If not, I will do some more testing.

Sorry, this question may have already been asked, but,

Can I get SSM 53801 done if I already replaced my battery with an AGM battery on my 24 Lariat.

9 months ago, I was getting constant Battery Saver messages and the AGM swap fixed that. I would still like the update to hopefully eliminate some of the "clicking" that is constantly happening.

Thanks

I would contact your ford dealer to verify but I would think so. However, unless you're having deep sleep issues they might say it's not necessary since this isn't an actual recall. Keep us updated with what you find out.

Warranty is up on my 22, the dealer will do the ACCM software update for 1/2 hour labor. Just been holding off while the bricking issue is sorted out.

Cheers.

They can still do the programming, the battery will just pass -- Idk why people don't want to take Ford's money for a simple update...

I must admit the deep sleep issue is annoying for my 24 XLT hybrid but it’s been very intermittent . I have noticed the AC coming on when I start up and I scratch my head thinking did I leave it on ? No ā€˜. Then why is it coming on ? I’m pretty far away from any dealership so it’s a hassle I did get a call from a dealer service department saying bring it in for some recalls but I wasn’t interested at the time. If I can butter up the advisor and get AGM battery upgrade like it should have come with and with all these recalls and updates then maybe I’ll take Brett Maverick in to the saloon.

Gotcha, thanks for clarification! I'd also consider the extended warranty when my time approaches if all this is isn't resolved by then.
I just finished one yesterday. I had bricked two ACCM's. When I contacted Ford for answers, they mentioned that they had a few with the same issue. Engineering tweaked the software a couple of times. When it would not bring the compressor module back to life they authorized me to install another compressor. This one programmed without a hitch . I asked the hotline guy if it was safe to allow my other customers who were having the same problem to bring theirs in. He indicated that it is safe to do so because the last tweaking of the software solved the problem with it bricking the module. He then asked me to describe in detail all the things I did to that particular vehicle because I believe my vehicle was one of the guinea pigs. Anyway, it is now safe to program the modules. However, the facility needs to make certain that they have the latest update on their computer. Also the instructions for programming this module differs from that of every other module. This module is actually programmed with the engine running whereas other modules are programmed with the engine off.
