The whine/siren happens when the ice engine kicks on
If you take it someplace very quiet, and turn off the fan and radio, listen carefully to the whine.

You should just barely be able to make out, "Arewethereyet?Arewethereyet?"

AFIK, the gearing on all ('25 MY) hybrids is the same. Another possible reason for the quicker acceleration might just be the AWD vs the FWD. (More traction).
The only time my 23 would spin the tires at all was in the first car length. You can feel the extra power at speed. I did try sport mode on the way to work, and it was quite fiesty on that 35-65 romp I gave it.

I find it odd that not a single auto page or even a private person has 0-60 or 1/4 mile tested a 25 Hybrid yet. The only performance times available are pre 2025's. I know 0-60 was 7.7 on the earlier hybrids. That put it on par with a 68 Corvette 327.

If the 25 does do 6.8 0-60, here are some of the cars that ran the same time:

That's quite respectable performance for a economy hybrid truck!

There was a review I watched last week and they did 0-60 in the hybrid AWD and an EcoBoost. They actually got faster times in the hybrid. I will see if I can find it.

I've been searching, and all I see posted is prior times. Please post the link.

I would be very interested in how that happened. FWD ecoboost on 87? Slow reaction time?

Above video is one guy's test.
At Salt Lake City Elevation 4265'

I've said from the start of production they were priced the same because they are remarkably similar vehicles for daily utility.

Some will argue "dragy" is imperfect and I will agree.

But it still shows both trucks are REMARKABLY similar.

😎
But Dragy is the closest thing we have to accurate. On my Mustang it is a few hundredths slow from the Chrondek.

The Dragy does show the Hybrid is quicker off a light, and the EB has it down track.

no idea what the hell is in those 2 screenshots as the top numbers are just elapsed time. show the actual dragy results pages.

also, that is the slowest ecoboost 0-60 I've ever seen recorded and probably contrived in some way (such as not giving it 100% throttle, or a slow reaction time).

Ignore the top number, that's just when the video was stopped to take a screenshot. Look at the 0-30, 60', 0-60 and 1/8 mile times. All quicker on the hybrid. At the 1/8 mile, the EB was catching up as the speed was a bit higher than the Hybrid. Keep in mind, this test was performed at over 4,000' in elevation. That stole some time off both trucks. Sea level would be much better times. Elevation is a killer of power.

as I mentioned in my last post those screenshots are not valid. there's no legitimate reason to use that screenshot instead of the draggy results page, and the ecoboost is already a second+ off normal pace, so I really don't care what result this fool pulled together.

I'm much more interested to the see the full draggy result on the 25 hybrid awd which can then be compared to valid ecoboost results.
