Is this still holding up for you? I'm making a paper template off the original image, and can get a sheet of coroplast at Michaels for about $4, so am considering giving it a shot. Also plan on using stainless zip ties. Beats $90 for the Mabett shield if it works!

I copied this one & it works fine for me. Without it, I would get water running out between left taillight and body when driving in rain. In all fairness, I'm in NE FL with no snow/ice,, but we do get rain so it's been plenty wet. Had one on a previous Maverick for six months. 3K miles, & now 1200 miles on a different one. If it does fail, it's certainly easy to replace and inexpensive.

I'll try to remember to grab a new pic - this was from last Aug with 5k miles on it (earlier in the thread)

(Edit) Couldn't get a decent pic this morning, but I can see that the zip ties are still intact. Drove 45 miles of dirt road last weekend and the panel is quite clean. Has held up great so far, especially for the price.

I have the original Mabett kit that I'm getting ready to install. People have said that the hardware tends to rust. Is there anything I can spray on the hardware to prevent it from rusting? I was thinking maybe a clear Rust-Oleum spray, but I'm not sure how long it would last. I could also spray it on the panels for good measure.

Rustoleum Rust Reformer should work well. Helps to prevent rust and converts rust to a more stable surface. I still need to install mine. Maybe tomorrow.
