I saw the other day someone put at harbor freight tool kit behind the rear seat. So I copied their idea.

I found that the tools rattled in the case. So I added a few small towels inside. I used two bungee straps and connected them to the latch hooks since I don’t need them. It is a snug fit and the back seat holds it in place. No noise at all.

I know they are not the best tools, but a lousy tool is better then no tool and they are out of the way.

I have the same kit, but I just keep it in the bin under the rear seat. I like this idea too, however.

Pittsburg tools only need to work once, then you can get em replaced if they break. They are so cheap too you could care less about abusing them.

That specific kit has sockets that round out VERY easily.

My same kit has a piece of foam between the 2 sides.. I bent the amp mount bracket ears back against the back panel for more room.

You buying a factory amp? Epoxy bond a custom mount for a different amp. Just my opinion.

Rip that amp mounting plate out.
It fit there with the amp mount. There was no need for me to remove anything. Why do extra work. Plus I think the plate is helping to keep it snug.

Nice! I did something similar. Went on a harbor freight shopping spree to finish out a cheap set to keep in the truck. I’ve always had cross bed tool box’s on all my previous trucks but the mavericks bed was too short for that. So I condensed down to this tool roll I found.
