Pull into the garage, farther than you need to, then flip into reverse and watch the camera. Adjust as necessary.

I do this when I pull through at a parking place. Put bumper right on the line.

Don’t know for sure if this a issue with my 2025 Maverick Lariat but I was told of this when I purchased a new 2025 Subaru when using the collision avoidance system it must be turned off when using a carwash that uses a drag chain or drag conveyor once the vehicle starts moving through the wash the CAS can activate and lock the wheels resulting in the carwash drag chain or conveyor belt snapping causing major damage to the carwash (it’s easy to turn on and off in the Subaru I haven’t investigated this with my Maverick).

I'm not seeing it. Perhaps my '23 model is different?

You do have it.
It's not obvious.
That's why it is a tip, trick, or hack.
It's only about 2" more height, but also gets the stick out of the way for doing other work.

Drawing on insights from Maverick newsgroups, owner forums, trade publications, and official Ford resources, here are some useful tricks, tips, and hacks for the Ford Maverick.

Got another one? Disagree with something? Please comment... YMMV
  • Maximize EV Mode (Hybrid)
To stay in electric-only mode as much as possible, accelerate slowly and use cruise control. Once at speed, back off the cruise control by 1–2 mph to encourage the hybrid system to use battery power. Modulate the accelerator to keep power usage at about 10% or less for extended EV driving.

I can anticipate undulations in the road and traffic with much more accuracy than the ACC.

My only concern is this instruction doesn’t mention the Crash Avoidance System (it may not be an issue with the Maverick but was mentioned when I purchased my 2025 Subaru) same technology but maybe a different application…

Oh, I just have a couple of 2x4s at the optimal spot to stop the front wheels on the garage floor. Cavewoman style.

Get into early habit of opening door handle BUT pushing door open with knee.

It avoids posting about locking doors here and the headache of trying to prove what you are sure happened.

If not needed - Disable the honk on remote double-lock press under Truck settings Feedback option.

If you don't care about locking with a door/tailgate/hood actually opened - disable Mislock Chirp also.

Always hated the "honk" feedback. While I can disable my truck's annoying honk, I have no such control on other's and it drives me nuts especially when navigating a parking lot. "Is somebody honking at me?" "Oh, it's just somebody announcing to the world that they locked their vehicle." "We're all proud of you."
